I second vivi Novas as a start! you can also rebuild them an save some pennies, and ego twist is even better because you have regulation from 3 to 4.8v :)
But if you are adventurous, rebuildables and mechanicals and more durable. My first one is the spheroid witch is outstanding once you've mastered it. But you have to read a lot about them because there's a learning curve and there are things that mustn't be done with them.

I was thinking about getting a Smoktech Zmax. What are the pros and/or cons.

I have a sigelei Zmax which is a different design. It's built more solid with a better display. The only downside I have noticed is the button has moved so it has become harder to press. I have not found a way to fix it so far. Smoktech makes some pretty quality equipment, so that might be a good choice.

Hi & welcome!
I received my ego on 12/10/2010, haven't had an analog since.
I did treat myself to a Provari on my 2nd anniversary.
This is a wonderful site. I doubt, very strongly that I would have been successful without the help & support I was given here.
A gigantic thank you to all who assisted me.
With the money I saved, I completely redecorated my living room, now, I'm saving for an motorhome. I put the money I would have spent on analogs in a jar. If you have the money to start with a Provari, they are cheaper in the long run. Batteries are cheap, in 18 months, I've not had 1 die. Ego batts are expensive & really don't last that long. Provari gives a consistent vape, ego vapes spotty if the batt is running low or you've had it for a while.

Thank you so very much for being so understanding...sometimes our passions runs a lil' wild :D You're very welcome and I just want you to be successful. Yes please fell free to pm me any time at all.
Wishing You the Very Best of Luck.
P.S. I know everything seems so very complicated but once you have your gear in hand it will all come together and be far more understandable.
