Hello Update on First Day Vaping & Quitting Analogs

Just wanted to update you on how this has went so far. I have smoked my last Marlboro Blue 72 this mourning after waking up and before my equipment reached my hands.

The last cigarette I smoke was my lucky one. It was kind of a ritual of my to flip the middle cigarette of the front row upside down. I called that my lucky cigarette and was always the last one I smoked out of the pack. This was also the case today and would have been no matter the amount I of cigarettes I had. Luckily it was the only cigarette I had.:laugh::laugh: I find it weird how that worked out and I told myself the luck would go toward me quitting.

For the most part this is true so far. I have only had cravings when I seen others going to smoke them. One was when my wife pulled out her pack and got one out. Than she started to talk to me before leaving the room to go smoke waving it around with it in her fingers. I quickly picked up my Triton started vaping while asking her to please not wave those nasty unhealthy thing around with me in the same room.

Than the other time my 40 year old brother from a different set of parents can in the doorway of the room with one in his hand to ask me what was the name of the movie I was watching. I once again quickly picked up my Triton. I did not ask him to put it away cause I knew he would leave after only a few words. I told him the name of the movie. Than he said he liked the movie and went on about his way.

He later came back and ask me what in the world was that I was puffing on early. I gladly handed the Triton to him and told him to press the button and try it out as I would quickly be back with the items it came with and would explain than. As I was walking away I heard him coughing kind of hard so I turned around stood in the doorway telling him that where it is vapor he should not hit it as hard as he would a analog. Than went got my display case and e-juice ran back to him to explain. He stated he might soon turn to a system like it and ask if I would help him find one for him.

The third time was when we had a girl from down the road visit us and she went to talk to my some what of a step dad in his room and as she talked to him she stated she has been up for quite some time and before traveling back to her house she could use a nap. Us being the kind of people that are very nice and considerate people we are we pointed her to our guest room and told her she could sleep in there.

It started to get about close to nine o'clock we woke her up and ask if she was still going back to her house. As she began to leave and started walking to the exit of the house she lit a smoke. Said she didn't have a lighter in the car and was going to pick one up on the way home so I gladly gave her one of my old ones seeing I have no use for them now. After she lit up she hugged me and went on. Once again I instantly picked up my Triton and started to vape.

Luckily for me in my house we have a room dedicated to the use of tobacco. Reason behind that being the woman that has taken me in is allergic to the smoke from analogs. I being the only user of a vape system for the moment can vape where ever I may please to do so. I am hoping this will make the others in the house jealous and make them want to do the switch. The visitor or any other visitors who may lite up can only do what the other did if they are walking straight to the exit. Simply saying bye on their way to the exit.

The last time was about maybe four or five hours ago before I decided to spend the rest of my time awake in my bedroom alone. I had started watching a movie and noticed an actor was smoking in most of his parts in the film. From than on out puffed my Triton every time I seen him smoking. I did that whether I had a craving or not because I did not want to have one. I also figured that it could prevent me from having them the more I use my Triton.

That is how my day has went with my first day using the product. I will keep you all updated as much as I can.

Congrats to your switch to vaping, it's well worth it! Stick to it and don't give up, it's a bit of a bumpy road dropping those smokes, but it's completely doable. A word of advice that I learned from these forums that helps me quite a lot. Don't count the cigs you smoke, count the ones you don't. Good luck on your vaping journey!

So this being the second time I have seen the sunrise the in a row with no sleep I should probable try to get some of that stuff you normal humans call sleep hahaha. Keep the good vibes flowing my way I live with three other smokers and will probably need them. I was a very heavy smoker. Smoking anywhere from 20 or 30 and sometimes even 40 analogs in a 24 hour period. I have a medical condition known as insomnia and I found the longer I was up the more often I would smoke. If I am not able to sleep I will be online in about a hour.

Thank you all

Day two:

I have not really had a hard time with craving to be honest. I even rode down the road with the guy that took me in when I got out of Bar-H. I will refer to him as my step-dad. He is a chain smoker as was I. He smoked one after the other right there in the vehicle. Me and him was the only ones going on the trip. We just went up the rode a mile or two but I was sitting right beside him the whole time.

I had my Triton with me as I seem to have it near or in hand most of the day. We talked about the Triton and he said he might look into something like it. Like I said tho he smoked the whole time one after the other. He seems to smoke close to 2 packs a day. I puffed on my Triton and had really no problem.

The smell of the smoke made me a little sick to my stomach actually. I also went in my brothers room who smokes a lot also. He seems to love my Triton almost as much as me. He says its a little harsh on him tho. He also said when he had the money he would be buying one. If you have any advice to give him please let me know. I think where he has very big lungs he seems to want to hit it harder. I hung out with him for about 30 minutes or more showing him Mount Baker Vapors site.

I think its going good so far I have enjoyed every vape I get into my lungs. Hope others have such a easy time as I have. I have three more juices coming in the mail. They are from Mount Baker Vapor. I got Cotton Candy with 3 flavor boost shots, Sour Punch with 2 flavor boost shots, and Vanilla Cup Cake with 3 flavor shots.

Thank you all for the positive vibes. You guys really keep me going on with this.

Way to go you have got to feel some sort of pride and accomplishment! I would if I were you because I was vaping while my then husband was smoking! It was hard at first but I did it, and here I am today almost 4 months later free of that monkey off my back! I am so happy to be a Vaper and smoke free!

Lmao I use to flip over the same smoke in my pack. Rock the crap out of that triton. Hit it hard. Hit it fast and hit it often. It won't help with the insomnia, but it'll help with the craves. Keep the same routjne, just take the ecig with you. It'll keep you from feeling alienated, but still give you the satisfaction of not smoking. Stay strong!

Congrats on your great accomplishment so far!

I quit the analogs in a similar fashion, was down to my last half-pack. By the time I was down to the last 3-4, they were making me gag & this is coming from a 37 year former smoker. It would have been over 39 years, had it not been for the two successful 1 year runs w/out smoking.

On both occasions that I backslid, it was due to being around many smokers. I thought I'd try one, which led to two, you get the drift from here.

Vaping is the only thing that has totally quenched the desire for me to pick up analogs, really I don't even think about it anymore. Now I'd like to bump down the nicotine a bit, I've been at 24mg since vaping. I'm going to get one of my next e-juices with 18mg & see how it goes.

Keep up the great job! There's a whole community here rooting for you.

Congrats on a good job so far!! just keep it up!!! ex smoker that has backslide a few times myself....last time I went 9 months and the stress of moving, losing a jb and life and being around smokers..well...I failed. With the support of friends and family and a very good friend I am smoke free again...you can do this!! I no longer even crave cigs....the smell makes me sick....Vape on my brother!!

thank you all for the positive vibes. I have not touch but one analog for the past 2 days and that was the one right before I got my Triton in hand. I am very proud of what I am doing. It gives me a boost of confidants. Like I need one my wife says I am conceded but I just think of it like I am very proud of myself all around.

I have already started to notice my senses building back up. I can smell again which is absolutly amazing. When I used analogs I all ways had one side of my nose stopped up. I think I had some sort of mild allergic reaction the the smoke from the analogs. The woman who owns the house and really took me in has the same problem but along with many more problems. I refer to her as momma. Her doctors say it is from the second hand smoke.

My wife, brother, and step dad all smoke. Thank to momma they have to go to a room that is dedicated to smoking or have to stay in their room with the window open and the door shut. I have also noticed I can tasted thing a little better. Chips and pop/soda taste so amazing. I had no idea what I was doing to my body.

I am so glad i switched and I never plan on going back. I will however smoke a cigar on a very very special occasion if I see it fit. I will probable not smoke more than one a year. If it don't make me sick. I do not encourage doing this in anyway. It is just something I have done to celebrate very inprotant events. I have never been addicted to cigar. It is sort of a ritual of me and my family to sit down on a big day or event and all of us indulge our selfs in a cigar smoker or non-smoker.

Thank you all

Congratulations - gosh you are doing great - so good to read your story. It is difficult to be around other smokers
when trying to quit but your Triton probably makes it much easier. When I've tried in the past there was a constant
thought of having a smoke & having to talk myself out of lighting one up. I always failed & went back to cigarettes.
These personal vapers made it possible for me to quit & I never have cravings for cigarettes anymore :w00t:- in fact
I now can't stand the smell of them & have trouble breathing when there is a cigarette lit.

Maybe get yourself a low or no nic liquid for before bedtime - I'm going to grab a small bottle & use one of my spare,
older junk tanks & use that for the last 45 minutes before bedtime - see if it helps me. Find myself taking to long to
fall asleep some nights.

Keep strong & Keep sharing your knowledge with your loved ones when they ask

something to check out - electronic cigars - :vapor:

Congratulations on your success!

It is quite common for nicotine to cause insomnia. You might want to try experimenting with vaping lower nicotine at night for a at least two or three hours before bedtime.

Congratulations, and good luck with continued success!:) When I first started vaping, and would have a vague urge to light up, I would tell myself: "Your body is getting the nicotine it needs. That is just the "Ghost Habit" messing with your mind", and then vape some more. It worked, and I haven't smoked since I started vaping.

This is day three I haven't had any problems so far but I've only been awake 3 hours. i am suppose to go to my brother-in-laws house today if I can get a ride. They all smoke up there.

As for the insomnia I have had it for years. I stay sleepy all day and closer nightfall gets the more alert and awake I become. I have been like that for as long as I can remember.

If I go to my brother-in-laws place I will not have internet access. I will try my best to keep you all updated to the best of my abilities. Hope you all have an easy time with this

Keep it up, you are doing great. :) The longer you go without smoking the more you'll notice the smell in the house - even with doors shut and windows open, it permeates everything. I hope your good experience so far convinces the others you live with to try it. Congrats on 3 days and on the rest of your life smoke-free!
