Thinking of maybe just getting the Joye 510 Manual in White. After thinking more about it, a Slim model will suite me well, be less conspicuous if I drive with it. I can get a PCC and a Passthrough to offset the battery life on it. I smoked a lot less during the day at work, usually 3-6 cigs in a 9 hour day. Night time is where I got bad with smoking usually. I figure with a passthrough, I can hook it to my pc or even a wall adapter and puff while sitting on my couch. (I assume passthrough works just as well via the wall adapters as it does the usb port on a pc?)

Any suggestions on a good place to buy this from with a good price and good customer service? I see a lot of prices online for them ranging from $25-55 with varying stuff included in the kit. Just don't want to go buying from a place to find out they have cheap prices and crap service. I would rather pay a little more to a company with a good rep.

I would suggest that you get an eGo passthrough for at home. These PTs plug into an eGo battery that you can use solely for a PT (I have a pretty green one that never leaves the USB port) or you can use it as a regular eGo battery by unplugging it and screwing the cap on. It would give you an idea how eGos perform as well as a great passthrough. I went through three other 510 models of passthroughs that bit the dust because of shorts in the cord. With the eGo passthrough you can just run out and get a new cord from Wallyworld if it goes bad.

I recommend Liberty Flights quite a bit because of the riva/ego deals, but since you want a 510 I would recommend madvapes, cignot, or ecigexpress. You want to be sure whichever supplier you choose has a good warranty. I bought my 510 from Health Cabin, but I wouldn't again. They have great customer service, but if something goes bad you have to pay shipping to China both ways.

So I am getting prepped to order some stuff, and noticed some places offer an option of NO LED on the battery? Should I stay away from not having an LED for any reason? Only thing I can really think of is that I obviously won't see any light telling me its on or blinking to tell me the battery is about to die. I figure vapor or lack there of will tell me that, am I overlooking anything there?

Edit:

SO now I am I may be leaning back toward an eGo or Riva, LOL So indecisive at times.
Got some time before my current cartos run out on my current e-cig.

Thanks again for the replies and suggestions!

You should also note that the liberty flights pass through battery is larger than the standard battery that comes with the riva kit. The PT is the sizE of the xl batteries.... Not sure about the mAh though.

Yes, it is about half an inch longer and heavier than a standard eGo but of all the passthroughs I have had I like it the best, though I have never needed to use it as a portable PV.

The only reasons I can think of to not have an LED are for those that need to stealth vape or conserving battery power. However, the LED should not even make a difference in the performance.

In my experience I wish I would have went with the eGo/riva first. It would have cut down on alot of anxiety about being without a battery. I didn't crave an analog when I began vaping, however, I constantly worried that I wouldn't have enough battery power when I was out somewhere. Especially when the passthrough with a USB connection I had for the car when kaput. With my 510 I took loads of equipment with me when I left the house in case I got stuck somewhere. Now I just take 2 fully charged complete PVs and 2 batteries and about 10ml of juice and I'm good to go. I have came close, but haven't ran them out yet.

The look and feel takes a very low priority after the novelty wears off and you have to charge them every couple of hours.

Makes sense, I may just have to get both? LOL
Think I will go with a Riva or eGo, since I have a small e-cig already that I can use when I "need" something to look more like an analog, I can always get a single 510 battery later too.

What would be better to go with for a beginner, Carto or Atty/Filter? I noticed the Riva has a Carto kit, which "sounds" a little simpler? I know they are blank and both kits need e-juice, but it sounds like it might be a lower maintenance option?

I would just buy a standard kit with the atty and cartridges that come with them and buy a separate pack of cartos to see which you like better. Cartos are easier when you are driving or out where you can't drip or top off carts conveniently. Cartos, dripping and cartridges are all different and some people like one more than the other. You may want to throw a drip tip in as well, but if you don't want to add that expense for now, you can just take a cartridge, take the filling out, drip directly on the atty and put the empty cartridge back on; a very good way to test flavors. Because vaping is so customizable to each individual, it is good to explore options to see what works for you. The only thing you absolutely must have in the beginning is hardware and juice and that will give you a good start.

ok, now my issue is not clicking on every damn part or accessory as part of my order! LOL

Ordering Riva in black, 510/901 Delrin Drip Tips - Type C, XL Cartos, Boge 2 Ohm Cartos, and trying to decide what juices to try from LF to start. Will order more juices from others places after I get into this a bit more.
