I'm new to this forum and mostly new to electronic cigarettes as well. A friend of mine started getting the disposable blu cigs from a pharmacy nearby, so I got one of them to try. After smoking it for a day, I started thinking that I could quit smoking cigarettes if I could get a refillable e-cigarette with a different flavor, since they only had tobacco flavored blu cigs and I've been a menthol smoker for a while. The next day I ordered the Sidesho from Modern Vapor, and it got here today. In addition to the menthol cartridges it came with, I got vanilla pre-filled cartridges as well. I'm hoping to order some blank carts soon so I can try lots of different flavors.

I have been cigarette free for about seven hours, minus one cigarette I smoked while the battery was recharging. I've smoked for about six years, with the last two years being more than a pack a day. I am quite excited about not smoking analog cigarettes anymore!

Haha, we are both little! That's awesome. I went ahead and made one of these things:

But it doesn't seem quite right. It hasn't been a day and seven hours, just seven hours. Maybe because of the time difference?

Anyway, one question so far. My menthol cart is making a noise that sounds like bubbling when I inhale. My vanilla cart doesn't. Any idea what the bubbling's all about?

Bubbling or gurgling is usually a sign of overfilling. If it's vaping OK, you can use it and it will resolve itself. If vapor production is weak, blow it out (gently) over a paper towel and get some of the excess juice out.

If you hear a slight crackling sound, sort of like a sizzle, that is the sound of a happy, well soaked coil making lots of vapor.

(( As for the name thing - Yours caught my eye because I immediately thought of someone I used to know online but sadly, lost contact with a while back. She went by Bitsy. ))

Well, I haven't used catridges in months, moved onto other things, but if I remember right it's just air in the filler. May have to do with a differences in the thickness of the e-liquid. If they both vape okay, and taste okay, don't worry about it. When you move on (if you want) to cartomizers, the little gurgle noise is a good thing!

Hmmm.... There are a few cartridge experts around here. I would not be considered one of those, for sure. Never actually used one, I started with tanks and cartomizers.

My instinct from carto's tells me that the coil wouldn't be shielded from the filler - but instincts can be pretty far off. lol

Somebody with experience on the Sidesho from Modern Vapor should be along soon though.

Oh my goodness! I just started a new cart, and the foil completely popped when I plugged it in, and it is a world of difference. It was working decently before, but now I'm getting at least twice as much vapor, more flavor, and a definite sizzling sound. It's awesome! I guess the other carts must have had small holes in the foil instead of this one where the entire thing is a hole.

I missed what you said about my name before, but I don't think I'd be that person. I didn't start using this name until something like two years ago, and I haven't been online anywhere as much since then as I was when I used other names, most of which I don't even remember.

Great to see others also quit. I never imagined there would be such a huge community base.

Neither did I, considering I'm only the second person I know to use one, and the other person I know who uses one has only used disposables thus far. I think it's great though, since there are so many different options to choose from for just about everything involved with vaping!
