I'm a new member to this forum and the whole concept of PV as well. In this first post, I'd like to know if you can quit smoking completely with the PV? Can you get enough nicotine with these devices? I'm struggling with my smoking habit and my family is not happy with it either. I've tried several methods and nothing appears to be working. I hope this is the way to go, just need some encouragement and guidance from fellows smokers out there. Thank you.

Please forgive my broken English!

Best regards,

Hello, and welcome. I am also a fairly newcomer. But to answer your Question, YES. There are many here who have quit smoking completely. My mother being one of them. I myself have gone down from a pack and a half to maybe 1 or 2 a day. I'm getting there. Good luck you you. You should find a GREAT support group here.

newbreeze, welcome to the forum. You'll find many, many people on this forum who have started vaping and dropped cigarettes like a bad habit, never looking back. You'll find some that had to slog through it. You'll find a few who have struggled mightily. Not everyone gets the same results, but there are too many people here who report success with vaping who failed multiple times with every other available method for there to be much doubt that it absolutely can work.

Hiya Newbreeze, I like you wondered the same thing. Well, I knew it was possible, I have had friends who have done it. However, I questioned whether it would work for me. I have tried the cheap disposable e-cigs you can buy at tobacco stores, didn't mind them, but they never seemed to curb my need for an analog. I can't say whether I'll never pick up an analog again, since like you, I am new to vapes, just got mine in the mail this afternoon. However, it has been over 6 hours for me now, which is huge for me! haha. It makes me hopeful as I have not even wanted to grab an analog and smoke. Good luck to you on your journeys towards a healthier life. :)

Welcome Newbreeze:
I too have tried every method, (except Chantx) known to me, hypotized, patched, gummed...
40yr, 2+ pad- Got my Ego-C last friday, had my last 'burro' last friday 1/4/2013.
Still getting niccotene, just none of the other 4000 chemicals and ash and tar that the analogs had. Suggest that you use a high enough nicotene e-juice (18mg+) and vape long enough each time to keep the level up in your system. You are learning to replace cigs with your PV. Once your body is comfortable knowing that you are not going to deprive it of it's nic, then you can cut back on nic strength- if you wish. At least that is how I am approching it.
I don't know yet if I want to elimanate nic altogether...right now, I say no. Although most of my e-juice is 18mg, I did buy some with 11mg and even 6mg- but that is only so I can vape longer (LOL)...I love the sensation, act and taste of vapping.

Again-Welcome, and Best to You !

I guess it all depends on your set-up. I use to smoke 1 1/2 pack a day. I started with BluCig and felt the cravings and ended with regular cigs. I tried it again using vapor4life w/ the e-cig tank and 18mg juice. This set-up really worked for me. Havent smoked a cigarette for 1 1/2 yrs. I am right now using 12mg juice and hopefully go down later on.

Welcome, and I quit my first time i picked up vaping. I have smoked the occasional cig when i ran out of juice back before I discovered bottom feeding. But all in all it wasnt that hard. I vape 36 mg but i keep getting vibes that thats too much. Oh well i am happy at that strength and have been vaping somewhere around 2 years....you can do it.

Thank you, thank you for all of your comments! It means a lot to me and my family.

Now I know I can quit for good while still be able to enjoy the smoke (vapor actually). I read quite a bit online since yesterday and did some search. By using the search term "e-cig made in the US", I got this forum came up on the first Google results. Finally, after went through some reviews, I have decided to order a PV from Super T Manufacturing called Precise ELA. This will be the first for me and to be honest, I have no idea how it works by looking at the pictures on this page: Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products. . Their website doesn't say a lot of what is included or what to be purchased separately to make it works. I found their forum here but because I'm new, I'm not allowed to ask questions over there. So, I'd like to know if you can guide me on the right path to set it up probably for just to use it on the most basic function to replace the analog for now. I'm aware of several upgrades and stuff but it might be too complicated for a newbie like me. I thought maybe enjoy it on the simplest setup first then re-arrange the ELA to take advantage of all the functionality later. Also, I smoke around a pack and 1/2 a day, what level of nicotine should I get from the liquid formula? Any recommendation on the liquids and who safely make them? I'd greatly appreciate some insights and thank you for your instructions!

Best wishes,

Welcome!
I wondered like you....when my V2 starter kit (these look and feel like cigarettes) arrived over a year ago, I charged the 1st battery and have never smoked another cigarette!

Web sites should give you a guide as to what nicotine strength to get, depending on what/how much you smoke now, so really, your first decision is...do I want something that looks like a cigarette? Or maybe that's not important to you....then go from there.

Also I think the novelty value is a great way to try and switch over 100% from the start...that definitely helped me.

Good luck!

i have been off cigarettes for a few years now and a year or two off ecigs and just happened to see your post, as i come back to the ecig forum once in awhile to see what is going on.
yes the ecig got me off analogs and it wasn't an effort to do so. having the top of the line equipment available made vaping a pleasure
basically it was a trial and error deal. i bought the various two piece 808 batteries-chargers-cartomizers from various vendors
eventually i found the right set up -simple but effective to quit as i did not want to make vaping a hobby, only use it as a vehicle to quit the habit of smoking.
my final set up that got me off analogs was the xl model from vapor for life and their wow cartomizers. the ejuice was simply a local outfit called lite cigs. vapor for life prices are a bit more than others but the cheaper batteries and cartomizers from other vendors did not work out for me for one reason or another. various reasons such as batteries died out, cartomizers did not taste right or burnt, ect.
i did not experience these problems with vapor for life products.
anyway i have the monkey off my back now-good luck to you.

It doesn't look like that Precise comes with batteries and charger? Did you get that? You will also need e-liquid and something to heat your e liquid with ( there are a lot of combinations out there like atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, ect )

No I did not get the battery and charger. Will do it soon though. Thank you for letting me know.

So the Precise will not work right out of the box?! The e-liquid I probably can get it local here but all of the combinations listed above, which one is the most simple to use? Would you please be more specific?

Best regards,
