But we used to buy our cigs on the reservation (no tax) so we were only paying 22$ a carton for ours. They haven't upped their prices yet...

Something to be aware of that is crazy. I used to get my cigs online from Indian reservations. I did this for about a year. A YEAR LATER, I got a letter from the Department of Commerce saying that I hadn't paid taxes on it. I'm in Los Angeles. I had a long conversation with the guy and I asked him to send me the records they have. They were incomplete but still sizeable enough to be an expensive bit for me. It also made me nervous that the "reservations" were surrendering documents to them. We've had budget crisis out here so I know they're looking for any kind of revenue stream, but that was so weird. It went back like 2 years.

You know I honestly think it's because she is still fighting her own cigarette addiction even though it's been 9 years since she quit. And the fact that she had to do it with the patch and gum since PV's weren't around at that time just might have her a bit jealous and envious of the ease that I am having as I quit smoking and not having the cravings that she had to suffer through.

My sister quit CT over 10 yrs ago and she says to this day if she smells one she wants one. Also when she is stressed. My other sister (for GOD KNOWS what reason) just STARTED smoking about 2 years ago. Non smoker all her life!! All I can think is "What kind of stupid :censored: idiot are you!!?

I really don't understand the mindset that makes so many of you worry about what other people think about your smoking/vaping status. The only person that matters is you. Why do you even care?

It doesn't matter on this forum and you're right in that it is you that matters. But if we DON'T care and DON'T share then those that would ban ecigs will win.

So what if people still label you a "smoker". YOU know that there is no smoke. Her point about still having the habit of "smoking", or the habit of putting something in your mouth, SO WHAT? Last time I checked, putting even a cigarette in your mouth 1000 times a day, and not inhaling any smoke does absolutely nothing to your health. Technically you are not smoking, because to be smoking, there has to be smoke. Some people are just simple minded. I don't see a problem with having a habit of putting something in your mouth for the rest of your life, as thus it's a harmless habit when you remove the smoke.

I don't know if it is completely harmless....even eating isn't entirely harmless. You can eat fattening heavy food and that is worse than healthier food. It is a choice and what you choose to eat does make a difference.

I would love to be able to quit entirely, but this is as close as I can come right now. I do know that I feel better after just 7 weeks of using only ecigs. That's all I can go by.
