Hi :)
I just signed up today, I recently went to the doctor and short story is I have to stop smoking in 3 months. I'm 25 years old, but I do have stomach issues. I thought that E-Cigs would be a safer alternative to real cigarettes. Actually, my doctor told me as long as I'm down to at least 4 cigarettes in a day I'd be better off. But I usually smoke that in about an hour and a half. I'd like to switch over completely.
So I came up with the idea to switch over to E-Cigs. I've never tried them before, so I know absolutely nothing about them at all. So I want to see if I could get some help with what brand(s) to use, how this whole thing works, etc...
Anything you know about them I want to know! Like, What brand did you use when you first started, what is cheapest to buy, if the store of internet is cheapest to get them, all that. Like I said anything and everything you know about any brand that is worth the money I want to put into it.

As of right now, I smoke Marlboro Ultra Lights.

Thanks for all your help, it's appreciated :)

Hello and welcome to ECF. I would suggest if your first starting out to look into the Ego line and starter kits, it's fairly cheap on your wallet but def a durable product to start with. That's what I started with and what I'm still using As far as online or in store, online would prob be your best bet because your able to find diff companies selling the same products at different prices. I was able to quit smoking cold turkey after close to 10 years of smoking up to a pack a day with the help of E-cigs. If I can do it, anyone can. I wish you the best of luck during your switch, and if you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Other than possibly correcting your stomach issues, you'll notice a huge improvement in other areas as well (i.e. taste and smell improving). I've only been vaping for a little over a couple weeks and was also able to quit cold turkey, and you'll read a TON of other testimonials if you poke around on the site.

With my "noobness" and limited experience perspective, I would personally suggest an eGo-C Twist (battery) and a Vivi Nova tank (the fluid containment system and heating element that actually makes the vapor). One just plugs into the other and you're good to go. They're about as easy a set up as you could get and they work really well. Total cost would be around $50 or cheaper depending where you go. Just my $.02, and opinions are like.. ya know.

Then you're tasked to drop any juice into the tank you want. If you've got a local vape shop you can typically try before you buy, and it can be super fun.

These forums and the sheer amount of gizmos out there can be super overwhelming. YouTube is also another great resource I'd suggest checking out. Just try and stay with it. I think you'll love it.

Welcome to ECF! :)

Gotta agree with Tommycat76 post.....eGo C twist or Vision Spinner is good for the battery and Vivi Nova tank for the juice. Make sure you geta usb charger for the battery...get yourself some juice.....and vape away. You'll find ejuice in all sorts of flavors and all sorts of strengths. I used to smoke 2 packs Marlboro lights/day.....started out with tobacco flavored juice in 24mg strength. It was a little much...you could probably go with 12mg or 18 mg juice to start. A lot of seem to start with tobacco flavored juice but end up vaping flavors shortly down the road...there are some great flavors out there.....check the vendor list that this forum has for a lot of reputable suppliers. Best of luck and any questions just post them out here....everyone is always extremely helpful and there is lots to learn!!
