Ok just from reading the reviews I couldn't really tell the difference, so my guess? is the Titan may be a little longer lasting battery and the review says it hits hard, which is good for a cigalike. Since I did not see any specs this is only a guess. And the Titan includes a carrying cast for the coils?

:)

I couldn't figure out the difference either lol. So that's cool! I'll definitely order tonight then because he's totally on board. He wants to start at 3.6% and doesn't mind manual battery. He also would prefer a tobacco flavor to start. I think that I would still eventually get him some empty cartridges and a sampler of different vape juices from somewhere.

Thank you so much :)

Yes, that's the one.

I just talked with him extensively about the vaping and he said he WOULD like to switch all the way over someday and he's extremely happy I'm looking into it. So yay! Willingness is a good place to start. I informed him on the different levels of nicotine and the auto vs manual and have told him to let me know what he'd prefer in regards to that. Just putting feelers out, or so he thinks.
In case I did not mention it the manual button is the best best. It allows the user to control the hit much better than the automatic. The automatic is problematic and from most that have tried them have reported they don't last long.

Just found out I was correct The Titan is the more powerful one of the 2 Here is a blurb from their website

I created the Vapor Titan e cig to satisfy your smoking needs. This electronic cigarette was rated the world’s best rechargeable e cigarette by Gizmodo tech magazine, which called it “The Hell’s Angel of e cigs.” This tiny battery runs at a powerful 4.2 volts with the highest grade battery cell, and can be combined with more than 150 prefilled cartridge flavors. You can customize your experience by selecting between WOW cartridges (low resistance) for a warmer throat hit and more vapor, or our COOL carts (high resistance), which last longer and provide a cooler throat hit. Even if you’ve tried other vapor cigarettes, once you’ve tried our Vapor Titan, I guarantee, you’ll be smilin’. Welcome to our V4L family.

  • World’s best alternative to cigarettes
  • Simple to use! Just connect the cartomizer to the battery and puff!
  • Modified 4.2 volt microchip gives perfect throat and chest hit every time
  • Roughly the size of a long cigarette
  • All batteries are soft to touch and feel great in your hand
  • Same-day shipping M-F if ordered by 4 pm CST

I think you or someone had mentioned that before, and thus I told him that the manual battery was better...he's on board...so that's great :) So the Titan is better than the King Ash...huh...interesting! Well I know what I'm getting then lol. I may order the premium kit that has two batteries. I also have a 25% off coupon code to use, so yay!

Well I personally am glad that I went for it. He loves it and so far is taking to it very well. He says it feels good and just like a cig to him, the hit is good, he loves it.
YAY!... That sure got to him quick...

Hi I was just working on something that I was going to post on how I switched. I'm 65 years old and and smoked for over 50 years and am a hard core smoker. Here's what I've come up with so far please forgive the misspellings and gramatical errors

I had been smoking for over 50 years and probably have averaged at least 2 pacs a day. I once tried to quit a while back when e-cigs became popular but my problem was I tried to quit completely and start vaping only. About five years ago my doctor told me I had emphysema and said if I didn’t quit I’d be dead in five years. He said I was only at stage 1 and he said there was no cure and that it would never get any better. He said the only thing I could do was to keep it from getting worse and told me if I quit smoking it probably wouldn’t get any worse. I switched to vaping and it hasn’t gotten any worse. I have to take a pulmonary function test (PFT) twice a year – my emphysema has stayed the same but on some of the measurements of the PFT have actually improved over the last five years with none getting any worse. My pulmonologists says he would prefer that I don’t vape but says it has apparently had no effect on making my emphysema worse.

The mannerisms of smoking are just addictive as nicotine and I knew I might be able to give up nicotine but giving up the mannerisms and other habits that go along would be hard. My whole day revolved around smoking and the other activities that go along with smoking but I finally switched. I decided to write everything down and share it and hopefully help someone else.

Here is how I did it. Please keep in mind I was a hard core smoker for over 50 years and I was able to do it and these steps might not work for you. I also had a really good support group with my family and my co-workers and my boss was reasonable about my vaping. I was luck enough to have my own office and most of the building I worked in was very well ventilated so as long as I was reasonable everyone else was reasonable. One possible drawback to this is that I probably vape more than I ever smoked because I can vape in so many more places

  1. Step 1: Don’t wait until you get emphysema!
  2. Don’t try to completely quit smoking and start vaping. It will take some time to get used to not only the vaping but knowing how to fix your e-cig or mod if something goes wrong. Give yourself some time to get used to how things work. Nothing can set you up for failure more than you e-cig quits working and you’re having a nicotine fit because you don’t have any cigarettes. That happened to me the first time I tried vaping. It quite working and I couldn’t figure out how to fix it so I got fed up and trashed it and went and bought some smokes.
  3. Analyze your smoking habits
  4. Find you a good brick and mortar store or a friend who vapes that will work with you. I found a really good vapor shop in town that also mixed their own juice. He let me try different mods and he let me sample some of his juices to find which onesI liked. The amount of PG or VG mixture can make a big difference on the throat hit along with the amount of nicotine. I couldn’t have done it without their help.
    1. How many do you smoke a day
    2. Of those times that you smoke, how many were because of a “nicotine fit” and how many were just because that’s what you always did because of some activity
  5. Start substituting vaping instead of smoking when you’re during some of those times that your’re smoking just for the hell of it
    1. One of the times that I always smoked was when I drank coffee and I wasn’t about to give up any coffee so I switched between smoking and vaping with every cup of coffee – with one cup I’d smoke and with the other one I’d vape
    2. Of the times that you smoke because of a nicotine fit, start vaping one of those times instead of smoking. Then gradually taper the “nicotine fit smoking” down to one less per day. Don’t try to cut back one a day. Maybe one week drop one “fit” then the next week drop down one more. It make take you a couple of months but get used to the change gradually
  6. Start smoking only half a cig at a time. I got me a metal altoids container and when I smoked a cig I would only smoke half then I snub it out and put it in the container and smoke the other half later. That may sound nasty but I had figured out that my “nicotine fit smokes’ was 14 cigs a day. Using this system I smoked half a cigarette 14 time so I was actually only smoking 7! I didn’t start out doing this but after a couple of days I would ask myself during my “fit smokes” do I really want to finish this?
  7. Try to make it a point to be somewhere comfortable while you vaping and you can look at all the fools outside in the freezing cold or sweating their asses off in the hot sun smoking and laugh and think “I used to be that stupid too!”.
  8. Depending on your support system make it a point to vape in all the places you never smoked before.
    1. In your work place. If you have your own office then vape as much as you want. If you don’t, be respectful of others . You don’t want to annoy others with a cloud of vapor but I think ocassionally would be ok
    2. At home. Vape in your favorite chair while you watching TV. Vape in your home as much as you want but don’t overdo it.
    3. At friends homes vape as much as you want as long as they are ok with it. If they not ok with it then you can go into the bathroom and vape – Just like you did is high school – sneak into the bathroom and smoke in one of the stalls. Act like a kid again
    4. Traveling: Smoke detectors don’t pick up vapor. On an airline flight you can always go into the lavatory and vape on your flight
    5. Think of things that are better about vaping - you'll probably think of a lot
    6. Think about things that are better while smoking - I bet you can't think of any

The ones I'm most interested now, at a price point I can handle

If he's a hard core smoker like me I wouldn't go cheap but get him something that's going to have some kick. The first time he tries vaping will be very important If you can find you a good vape shop, take him there to look around. I found a good shop that let my try different systems as well as sample some of their juices. You should be able to find a good setup for less than $70 and that includes juice. Once he gets a decent setup all he'll have to do is buy his juice which should be less than $30 a month

HI everyone! I just wanted to update :)

My dad is still very much liking his vape. He isn't using it full time, simply because he wants it to last forever and, well, smoking cigs is a hard habit to kick. However!! He is quite on board with fully switching someday if it works out. My Mama is on board with it too. At first she was unsure but now that the benefits have been explained to her, she understands better.

Right now he's still using the 3.6% that came with the kit I bought him. He has 4 of the cartridges left. Oddly enough, he says those cartridges can be refilled. There was nothing in the kit info online that indicated that they could be but it's cool if they can be. So here's my next question. Where is the best/cheapest place to get higher nicotine juices? He still wants to stick with the traditional tobacco and he says the one he's using now, which is the V4L tobacco juice, gives him a perfect hit. That juice on its own can be a bit pricey at times.

Also what will he need to refill? Just a dropper? Anything else he should know?

Heather's Heavenly vapes has some nice tobaccos and NET (Naturally extracted tobaccos) that are pricy, but not too bad. I got some for the husband as he was attempting to quit. But there are lots of good online juice vendors, could look at the "star" supplier list and see what you think might appeal to him.

I'm not a cartridge person, sorry, so I have no clue how to fill it. So glad your dad is liking vaping though and plans to quit, that's fantastic.

Get a small blunt end hypodermic needle to use with the juice for refilling.
