I'm a big e-cig user for eight months now. Although the things are very addicting, it's just GREAT to smoke anywhere, anytime, without bothering anyone.

I've been using mini-cigs and find them, ah, lacking. The atomizers are far from robust (V9 type) and the ones that are bulletproof (V7 type) the batteries suck. I've been using Loongtotem juice; carts just don't supply enough juice and often have dribble problems - sucking in raw juice is unpleasant at best! To get a clean smoking experience I've been directly putting a drop or two of juice on the atomizer when I want to smoke with an eye dropper.

Any recommendations for, without regard to cost, the absolute best out there at the moment? Great battery life, lots of vape, bulletproof atomizers?

I'm also sourcing propylene glycol so I can home brew my own juice. I'm wondering what the best tobacco to use would be; my initial thoughts are to use flavored pipe tobaccos. I'm also concerned about the use of glycerine in juice - it adds sweetness, but is it really good for the atomizer? I'm pretty tired of frying atomizers to be honest - maybe I'm doing something wrong, or maybe $5 atomizers and cheapo mini-cigs can't handle high-demand usage.

Anyways, I'm happy to join up, I'd love to get on board with the latest and greatest e-cig technology (from what I've been able to gather, are penstyles the best currently?). And I look forward to seeing the technology evolve. Battery life similar to a cellphone would be great - use all day, then stick it into a dock charger at night. I also think that applying some ideas from fountain pens could be of use - carts seem so 1st generation. We ought to be able to fill up a reservoir with juice, just like a fountain pen, and have enough on board to toke for a couple days at least - my fountain pen holds ink that in volume is equivalent to a good week's worth of e-juice.

i've been a fan of the penstyle for a long time. Minis never did the trick for me. The DSE103 i had was a disaster. Thats the only e-cig that i literally threw away.

I gave up on minis until i laid my hands on the M402. Its 96mm and works really well both in terms of throat hit and vapor production. Battery life is exceptional too. I wanted USB pass throughs for my DSE801 and 901 but gave up that purchase after i got this mini/ supermini.

The carts do not last very long though but if you have juices, it will not bother you much since you can prefill a few carts and take them along with you. I don't know where you got the $5 atomisers from but mine costs $8 and is about the cheapest i can get from a reliable supplier.

Hope you find this helpful.

well, I figure you get what you pay for. I've just placed an order for a Janty Kissbox with extra battery and spare atomizer. I hope the Janty atomizers are pretty tough - I'm pretty sick of having these cheapo atomizers die, sometimes after only a day - you vape, then suddenly pull a burnt taste out of nowhere - you've run out of juice and just fried the atomizer :(

I generally drip straight onto the atomizer, and try to take care not to flood the thing. I wonder if this is harder on the atomizer, or if the liquid itself is not a match for what I've been using.

Anyways, I've got high hopes for the Janty Kissbox, and hope that it is both satisfying as well as reliable, and the USB passthrough is a big plus. Also, the separate switch mechanism was a big selling point; I've had untold numbers of mini batteries fail due to the switch going out.

The Janty Dura seems to have mixed, but mostly positive reviews, based primarily on battery life. I will pick one up if the Kissbox penstyle works out well.

FWIW, I clean my atomizers regularly with an ultrasonic cleaner. Most of the time, full performance is restored, but sometimes the atomizers come out of the cleaning cycle dead.
