Hi Vicky! :)

What would you like to know?

Once you get used to finding your way around the menu, it's straightforward enough. I often used the "press both buttons at once" function to see the atomizer resistance and the battery voltage. Other than that, just get used to moving the power (P) function to go up (or down) the watts.

Welcome to ECF!! Lots of great stuff here. Snoop around all the sub-forums. Also, the search bar is in the upper right.

The MVP is a very good Mod. I got one, and then another very early on so I had a back-up. No way was I going to feel the need to buy a pack of smokes. The MVP2 is a GREAT step-up mod. Some see the 11watts (maximum) kinda limiting. The majority are in the 10-20watt zone. Some flavors just taste a little better, but most are fine. The MVP3 is coming out this week and has a newer features. Rumor has it that the price will be very good since there is a lot of competition. It will drop in price in a month or two.

Anyway, the MVP2 has a great battery, good smooth power, built like a tank and there are a lot of "wraps" to personalize it. You have a good Mod.

Many, myself included, like the Nautilus full or mini for a topper. The mini, I think holds 2.5ml and the full holds about 4.5ml. Another good step up.

Remember to have spares, and spares for the spares. :)

Hi Vicky, Welcome to ECF!

the MVP is pretty simple to use, but there are some things about it that can confuse people.

First, it can act in EITHER VV mode or VW mode, Not Both At Once! If you set the voltage, it runs in VV mode and ignores the power setting. If you set the wattage, it runs in VW mode and ignores the voltage setting.

If you are looking at the screen so the numbers are right-side-up:
Hold down the top button for a couple seconds to go into VW mode. Each time you click the top button again it will increase the watts (until it wraps around). If you press the bottom button instead, it goes into VV mode. Shows either a P or a U for power or voltage.

Another common mistake is that when you charge it, the button will go from red to yellow to green to off. Many people will take it off the charger when the button turns green; you need to wait until the button goes OFF if you want it fully charged.

Apart from that, it's easy to use; I love mine!

hi djs, is there a way to see what the battery usage is at? When I press both buttons at once it says A2.0 and u3,8 would you say this is at right settings?

Oh, that means

Atomizer 2.0 ohms. Power (Voltage in this case...) 3.8 volts.

That should be giving off medium vapour.

I found this on my computer.... it might be what you have in your boxed instructions. I call the single big central button the "fire" button.

OPERATION GUIDE
There are three main buttons on the iTaste MVP: “ fire” button, "P" button and "U"
button; all the functions can be activated by using those three buttons to change
settings in a single step, without the use of a menu system. Your chosen mode will be
displayed on the digital screen.

“P” button: VW
“U” button: VV

ON/Off:
Quickly clicking the “fire ” button three times will enable or disable the battery. Once
enabled, holding down the button will activate the battery.

Variable Voltage Mode :
Press the “U“ button for 3 seconds to enter variable voltage mode. The screen will
show you the Puff counter first followed by the last adjustment (The last adjustment
may be a voltage or wattage setting), after showing the last adjustment, the iTaste
MVP will enter variable voltage mode. Voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 to 5.0 volts
in .1 volt increments by pressing the “U” button.

Variable Wattage Mode :
Press the “P“ button for 3 seconds to enter variable wattage mode. The screen will
show you the Puff counter first followed by the last adjustment (The last adjustment
may be a voltage or wattage setting), after showing the last adjustment, the iTaste
MVP will enter variable wattage mode. Wattage can be adjusted from 6.0 to 11 watts
in .5 watt increments by pressing the “P” button.

The A2.0 is your coil resistance (It's the closest they could get to an 'R' on the display). Your head is reading at 2 ohms.
The U3.8 is your battery voltage (indicates how well charged the battery is, NOT what voltage it's putting out!) Once again, U is the closest they could get to a V on the display.

Hi Frenchfry, Yes i'm so pleased I bought it, I saw it in town for £60 and found it on Amazon for £30, I wasn't sure if it was the real deal but I bought it anyway, when it arrived it had a scratch security sticker and I took it to the authentication section of INNOKIN.com and sure enough its the real deal for a great price, The flavour of the Lite-Up E-Juice I normally buy has a lot more flavour in the MVP then the normal atty I buy, All round Thumbs up to the MVP but i'm still learning lol

Thanks all for your replies, I figure while u here i'll get as much info as I can incase u get bored and wander off lol, still no way to tell how much power is in battery other than to wait till light turns red? also what would be ur recomended settings or does it depend on the person? I was a heavy smoker for a very long time so I like a decent smoke (vape)

Hi Vicky, welcome to ECF. I have two MVPs and also several leaf isticks. I use Nautilus Minis on both. There is a subform here for MVP users with many helpful people who assist new users in getting the most from their MVPs and answer questions about how to troubleshoot any problems you may have. Here is a link for you, you may have to have five posts to go there, so you need one more! Just answer me back with a thank you or something similar and you should be all set.
These folks will answer any question you have, everyone at ECF is so helpful!

Edit: I see while I was posting you got your 5th post in and you are free to go wherever you want! Good luck!

You are very welcome, Vicky! I am a "lady who is getting on" myself! There are some great areas here in ECF - the "General Vaping Forum" has some active posts for "older folks" . If you have any problems, click on my name and then "view profile" then "send a private message" and I will be happy to answer any questions if I can.
There are also some folks "our age" in the Nicoticket forum who are very nice to talk to and can recommend juice for us OLD SMOKERS! I smoked for 40+ years and I need juice I can taste since my tastebuds are shot! Here is a link for that forum as well. Nicoticket
We have several members from the UK as well.

Vicky,

When you press both buttons at the same time, the display shows your coil resistance, and then the BATTERY voltage. This will usually start at about 4.1, and then drop down as you use it. Not sure where it cuts off, though.

The other voltage display (when you just press the lower button) is the OUTPUT voltage you have it set to, which you can adjust between 3.3-5 volts. The 2 displays look the same, but they are displaying different info!

Good for you. I was commenting this morning on another thread about MVP prices.

When I bought mine (£36.99) it was £79.99 in my local Vaping store. That's the type of thing that goes on.

I always check here for prices.
