Thanks again :) Gonna order some clapton right now, and I'll see what else they got in store. And then I'll play :)
And I agree, from everything I read I think kanthal is better for me. Maybe later I'll try something else, but for now it'll do.

I got batteries covered, bought two and a charger, I don't intend to find myself with no power and no backup :D
I don't intend to go so high with watts, I'm trying somewhere from 9 to 13, anything higher I don't like, gets too hot.

I'm at around 600 puffs now, I hope I'll vape less when I go back to work, I don't have that kind of money to throw into juices speaking of which, I realized they sent me extra juice as a gift, can't wait to try salty caramel, I'm getting tired of my vanilla cream with strawberries.

And I really appreciate the time you took to help me, thank you :)

I always buy online, most shops are closed since I started vaping because of corona and at first I was to shy to go to store and talk to people. I wanted to figure things out on my own. I'm weird like that

Anyway there are really only two reliable local shops so we just check which one has what we need and ordere there. Not much choice really :)

Right now what I'm looking for are some nic salts, I just hope I'll get the americans to ship here, if not I'll have to order from England or Germany which is a bit pricey-er.

Yeah that's the problem if gonna buy from other country u must buy big quantity...I buy locally and it's not very cheap and I have to talk to other humans but have no choice :p at least vape shops are considered smokers shops Soo it's like essential and never closed since covid...
My country did something correct for once

Really? You are lucky, here one shop started selling newspapers and magazines so they would qualify as smoker's shop and could stay open :D

Hello and welcome! You are doing fine. RTAs just takes some trial and error (it helps to watch a few YT videos too)
@Superuser187 gave you some really good advice :thumb: (basically everything I would have told you) You really don't need salts (although there is nothing wrong with that... just don't get really high nic and be aware 3% = 30 mg) How strong nic are you using now? There is a really good DIY forum here (sub-forum of the e-liquid forum)

I forgot to mention... sip water while you vape. Also, I don't recommend 50/50 juice... very thin (up to 70% VG works better IMHO) Sometimes over 35% PG bothers my throat. Don't get those confused (VG,PG) Some people just say 70/30 and that could mean 70% VG or 70% PG. Do you have any building tools (coil winder, wire cutters, scissors for the wick)? I started out with just a nail, some toenail clippers and small scissors LOL. Eventually, learn about doing a "dry burn" before you put the wick in (and "raking/stroking the coil) You might try simple round wire first (26 or 28 ga) then the fused claptons (which will give you more flavor) When you first try a new coil, start with lower watts and then work your way up (with a RTA, you can use a bit more than you might expect) When I do the first dry burn, I pulse the power a few times until the coil glows a nice even orange (don't get it red hot) That helps me judge how many watts I use it at (generally a bit more because the wick has juice and will absorb some of the heat) I know we are overloading you with info but you seem to be motivated.

Thank you. I've checked the diy forum and I've got a lot of reading to do :) But I don't complicate my juices too much, just mix base, one flavour and nic, nothing overly complicated. I use e-liquid calculator. I tried playing with ratios but haven't seen any difference regarding my throat, so I'm just sticking at about 70pg (I don't get these two mixed up, that was the first thing I learned when I started mixing). I might try 70vg someday but I'm in no hurry.
I wanna go for about 18mg/ml, I tried lower but it does nothing for me. Thats the main reason I want to try salts, I had to dilute before because of my throat, so now I'm expecting somewhat smoother vape and less throat hit. I hope I won't be disappointed.
Also here we can only buy as high as 20mg/ml nicotine. Try getting 18mg out of that. Damn near impossible. I ended up with a little weaker mix, so that's another pro for the salts.

I wanted to order a tool kit but my budget won't allow it. So I just got ceramic tweezers, i borrowed wire cutters from dad (they are too big, have to dig through garage to find something smaller) and scissors from sister. Gonna get everything one at the time, or maybe I'll just get kit in a month or so. I could use coil winder...oh well, I'll make it work :)

I've watched some videos and I have a friend who's been building for some time, he showed me how to wick and dry burn. He got me to start vaping in the first place. But I can't vape what he's got, to me it tastes terrible, is too hot and too harsh. But he's useful anyway :D

I drink a lot of water anyway so that isn't a big problem for me, I just tend to over-vape, I think partly because of too low nic and partly not enough flavour, I hope to solve this with salts and coils, maybe some tweaking when mixing (i just go for recommended % of flavour, maybe I could try a bit more, just one % at a time).

Yeah, it is a bit overwhelming, but I asked, didn't I? :D at least everything is answering my questions and is relevant to me specifically, as oposed to random topics on internet. Which are also helpful, but you have to dig through a ton to find the answer to just one question. And I also tend to jump head first into new stuf and overcomplicate everything. In a week or so I'll calm down and start taking it easy :)

You guys are amazing, you are so much help, thank you :)
