New to vaping for a month or so. I've struggled with tobacco for the last 15 years. 8 years of light smoking, 5 years of frequent snuff use and lastly, quite a struggle with cigar smoking. An occasional weekend cigar turned into a daily thing. Disgusted with myself, I began considering alternatives. I've always been an active runner and weight lifter and my performance has struggled to say the least. I only know one close friend who vapes. (We live in the sticks.) I learned a bit from him and did much research. I finally settled on a Joytech EGO AIO and some tobacco flavored e-juice from my local vape shop.

It’s not great, but it works. Quitting with e-cigarettes takes a long time to quit nicotine entirely, but it CAN be done, and WITHOUT discomfort.

Step one is transition from analogs. It’s worth remembering that nicotine is an anti-anxiety drug, so you’ve effectively given yourself an anxiety issue. Start by vaping whatever whenever you want. The trick is to not do analogs. It’s called the transition, and it’s as far as some people go.

When that is done, you start titrating the nicotine level of the juice…slowly. And WAAAY down. I think the lowest I got was 0.25mil/ml. This “you’ll Be fine below 3ml.” Thing is B.S. IMHO. SOME people can do it. My sister went from 8 to 0. People who have tried and failed though can’t. The failure rate is the same as for analogs; 80%. There are 2 ways I know of to titrate. The cheapest and most flexible is DIY. With that you can mix anything. (It’s also really easy.) Another way to do it is get a bottle of regular strength and a bottle of zero IN THE SAME FLAVOR and mix em. Both require the same equipment, a small really accurate scale (I got mine on Amazon for $8. It was meant for weighing jewelry.
I would mix a whole bottle of juice at a given strength use up the bottle (they were 2oz. So something like 60some ml.) Then go down with the next bottle.
If I started chain vaping at a given strength I’d do another of the same strength till I stopped. I had problems at 12ml and 3ml. I never had to do more than 2 bottles of the same strength. The trick is to go down by approximately the same ratio, rather than by number. So theres more reductions in the high strengths. IIRC I went 20, 16, 14,12, 12, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4,3,3, 2.5, 2, 1.75,1.5, 1.25,1, 0.5, 0.25, 0. When you’ve done a bottle of zero, you can cut the flavor.

This means vaping whatever ratio of PG/VG suits. So flavor+PG/VG+Nic liquid=juice. Real real easy. No flavor, no nic = just PG/VG which means you're shopping for “juice” at the farm supply store. Do that till you just spontaneously stop.

And boom. You’re done. Takes a while though. Close to a year. Nicotine is a helluva drug. ...... the great white horse, can be done in just a month. Everyone is different though.

This CANNOT be done with disposables because you can't titrate them. Pods or rebuildables.

Stay Strong ReaderMen.

If you find that a Joytech AIO helps consider getting a 2nd and running it with High Nicotine e-Liquid. That way you can pull it out to Suppress the really bad cravings. And use the other one with Lower Nicotine as you Day-to-Day setup.

Also try to get a little more Exercise than Normally. Coupled with Drink more Water than you usually do.

You can Make it. And you will find Answers/Support to your questions here on the ECF. But it all Starts with Your Need to Quit being Great than Your Desire to Smoke.
