Hey everyone,

I've been vaping for about a month and a half now, and I have a quick question I need to ask, hopefully someone can clear this up for me.

I've had my MVP3.0 for around a month and a half with a kanger sub tank, any who I have a RBA in it reading at 0.4ohms and I've vape it around 24.5 watts as it just perfect for me... Well I've revived my New MVP 3.0 Pro today and I've put my kanger tank on it and it reading at around 0.28 ohms but the problem I'm having is I have to vape it at around 30/32watts to get the sweet point for me as 24.5 isn't as warm or sweet as the MVP3.0

Any idea why this is?

I'm still using the same e juice in the tank and haven't changed the wick or coil yet

Thanks for the help and replies back!
Guvi

Edit: also my kanger doesn't sit as flush on my new MVP3.0 pro, it has a hair line gap but I can not screw it down any more

hello, I am not sure about your issue but I do know that I have two batteries. One is an Istick 20 watts and the other is an Istick 50 watt.
I can put the same top on both batteries and I will have to crank up the 50 a little bit to get a vape similar to the 20
My guess is that it is a slight variation in the equipment.

you say the reading for ohms is different so I suspect this is why the need to crank it up -anyway I suspect someone much more knowledgeable than I will reply:)

Thanks for the reply! I thought that aswell, must be normal, I thought because the ohms have dropped it will be needing more power, if I'm right the lower the ohms the higher the watts you will need, someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm still noob to vaping world and learning

If you overtighten your tank too much to try to close that gap it can cause issues with the device reading the tank(coil) correctly, try loosening it just a little bit. Everyone enjoys their vape a little differently so it's hard to say the exact wattage you should be at because it's really whatever tastes good to you but any time you have lower ohms you're generally going to be vaping at higher watts.

cheers for the reply, yeah I haven't over tighten it, I was to scared to even try that!, but thanks again it has started to make more sense to me now why I would need higher watts on my new Mvp3.0 pro

I guess it showing lower ohms so that's why I need to increase the watts to get the same taste as my First MvP which was reading the ohms slightly higher

Also the kanger tank fit perfectly flush with my other mvp3.0

If you have an ohm reader or know someone who does (local B&M), see what it says on a third reader. It could be a newer chip is more exact in the pro. I've seen differences of +/- .3 ohms from one device to another so it's not uncommon. Pressplayvape is correct in lower ohms takes higher wattage. As little as a .4 increase can change your sweet spot watts from 30 to 12 as it did with my ego One tank.

Thank you, yup i guess that's the reason for why I'm vaping at higher wattage now!
I do have a ohm reader but it just doesn't work! Going to take t back tomorrow and see if they exchange it

Might sound silly but make sure your batteries in your ohm reader are oriented the right way, I've seen more than one "defective" device that was due to backwards batteries.

You probably am right, Once I get home I will check if the batteries am in the right way, mine turns on and says --.-- doesn't matter what tank/coils I put on it!

But you could be right and I probably haven't put them incorrectly

Can you choose voltage on those mods ?
If not notice what the voltage is reading for both mods when the vape is good for you.
Probably around 2.9v for one and 3.1 v for the other.
If its the rba section of the kanger , then make sure the 510 hasn't come loose , mine did and caused the ohms to shift around.

Yup I can change it to voltage mode or wattage mode,
I just checked on my MvP 3.0 pro and at 24.5 watts the voltage is 2.57, I haven't got my other MvP3.0 but if I remember it was around 3.9/4.1 at 24.5 watts

I will check to see if the 510 hasn't come loose once I'm back home from work

Hey well the ohms reader still wasn't working even if I changed the batter position but... I tried my sky remotes batteries and they perfectly worked!
So Sony double A dont work in my ohms reader

Also the ohms reader saying the same ohms as my new MVP3.0 Pro so that's good thing
