Take the MVP v.2. I bought one for £34.99 and a quick search on t'internet would have sent you to a well-known high street shop that was charging... was charging.... prepare...

£79.99.

Yeah I found the MVP30w for £35 which seems decent!

Like the personality of stores but realistically it, like much, is cheaper online

Would you say it's worth buying more premium liquids too? I've gone from expensive ones to some just at a corner shop as 3 for £5 (weren't bad but not great) would that reduce the life of the setup?

I have been vaping just a little over a month. I have a CoolFireIV and a MVP 2.0. I love both of them, and I really like Innokin products. I know a lot of people have recommended Nautilus or Subtanks, but for me, I like to just stick with T3S or Vivi Novas. I'm not a dripper. I'm also not a sub-ohm'er (yet). These are much cheaper, I get them as cheap as $3.00 each and then you can replace the wicks so they last longer than the disposable CE4. You can get a 5-pack of replacements for less than $10.00. I have always wanted to get a Nautilus because everyone recommends them, but I'm okay for now sticking with the simpler, cheaper ones.

I always try and buy liquid that has either got good reviews, or others have recommended. Inexpensive does not always mean inferior, and in England some of the best E-Liquids on-line are priced extremely reasonably, especially when bought in larger quantities. Taste is a highly subjective thing though, and what one person may think tastes wonderful, you may not. So before buying a large amount of anything I have found it best to get a small amount to begin with. I often find that having a variety of flavours on the go prevents fatigue.

Some E-liquid companies do samples.

Making your own E-liquid is the most cost effective method, if this aspect appeals and you wish to develop the knowledge on how to do it.

Welcome Turtletimee!

If you do get interested in rebuilding the kanger/evod heads, click on my avitar and head for my blogs. I have a couple of links (what I used when I started building)

With a good ohmmeter, a bit of kanthal (I use 30 guage) and some cotton or other wicking material, I haven't had to buy a new head for over a year.

I vape a lot of cheap liquid. It does me. The problem with the premium stuff is
1) most of it is not premium (it's just liquid)
2) if you buy 5 bottles of genuinely good juice, you might not like a few.

I bought 3 x Cosmic Fog last week. 1 is awesome, another is medium (I'll vape it) and the other is yuk.

£8 for 15ml of yuk juice... that buys me 100ml of Hangsen Lemon.

Expensive liquids tend to use more rich flavours, so your atomizers can last a shorter time.

Hi all,

Looked into RDA and from what I understand looks a little messy and time-consuming if on the go. Think I will go for a tank. So with the juice, MVP and tank is that all I need to get started when I have each of the three? I keep reading about wicks and coils, do I need to stock up a lot of these too? Or will they come with a tank usually? Are they what I would need to buy frequently to keep going or do I actually need to replace the tank itself every couple of weeks

Thanks

You will need to replace the part inside the tank. This is called a "coil," a "coil head" or an "atomizer." It consists of a heating coil and wick assembly. The wick will gunk up eventually causing the juice to fail to flow to the heating coil. When that happens, you get a "dry hit"-- believe me, you'll know, it tastes like burnt cotton-- and then the whole thing must be replaced. Coil life can be extended by using several of them in rotation. Take them out after a few days use and soak a day or two in grain alcohol or vodka, then rinse well in hot water and air dry overnight on a paper towel. The reason people keep suggesting rebuilding is it's much cheaper. You'll have to buy tools to do it, but once you have them a few dollars worth of wire and a bag of drug-store organic cotton balls will keep you in heating coils and wicks for years. Buying the coils as replacements gets expensive. If you keep them in stock, and can wait for shipping, you can order them online more cheaply.

Thank you, due to not wanting to spend a lot on a tank just yet (limited budget). I think i'm going for:

KANGER MINI PROTANK 3 CLEAR Kangertech Dual Coil 1.5ohm Clearomizer (assuming it's compatible!)

Just as it's a 5ver and can get me started, even though all I hear is to get a Nautilus or the Kanger one. Plus it means if I break it learning to fiddle with the coils it's no biggy! Hopefully by then I'll learn some more Ohms and sub ohms terminology and eventually get a Nautilus and know roughly what i'm doing.

Pretty stressful business learning this trying not to make an error, surprised you guys don't smoke...

Though i've picked that from amazon reviews! If anyone has gripes with it that are serious/know an alternative feel free to let me know!

If you're just about decided on the Kanger P3, I'd like to offer one other suggestion for your consideration, which is the Kanger Mini Genitank. It uses the same coils as the Protank, and is at almost the same price point. The one slight advantage it might have is that it gives you variable ariflow -- just like the nautilus. You should be able to get it for about $10.

I have a couple aerotanks, which are nearly identical, save the materials. Aerotanks are stainless steel, while Genitanks are chrommed brass.

Just when in thought I was set! Though I've only seen amazing reviews of the former however not too much I can find on your suggestions, need a comparison site! But if it is near enough the same but with that added benefit I may as well

Hello!

I'm currently just using a standard ecig I bought from a vape shop (INNO battery if that's known). I don't get any real hit of vapor, it all feels a little tame and i'm looking to get an upgrade.

My knowledge is to the extent I know there is a battery, tank and liquid. I pray I wasn't wrong there too.

My budget isn't particularly high, being a student and all, however i've fallen in love with the look of the Innokin Itaste MVP3.0 (30w), the ability to charge my phone seems awesome too and all the settings it can change.

Now, I see all these glass tanks people put on them in the videos? I was told to change the one on my bad ecig every 2 weeks, tell me the tanks have a longer shelf life!? They seem so expensive... Also how do I know which cheap tank would even work with say the MVP3.0 so i'm not just ordering things to send back or break!

Any advice would be appreciated or any setups/things you wish you knew etc

Thank you!

Hi,

If you want a suggestion on a good starting setup, I would suggest using an Aspire K1 BVC, extra coils, and a mod that takes 18650 batteries you can view them at kanVape.com. If you want less expensive option is a KangerTech T3S and coils and any old battery that is EGO compatible. This option is least expensive, most likely you can use your current battery and allow you 3ML per tank or so and the coils are relatively cheap. I use kanVape.com and ask them if they can ship to you. I use kanVape.com for most all purchases for the last 6-8 months. There is another option to visit Rock Bottom Vapes and see if they can ship to you.

I use all types of Vaping methods and like different options myself, if you go with the KangerTeck T3S I suggest drilling one hole one size bigger for a perfect puff or lung hits.

All juices are different and can give you burning hit OMG did I learn a lesson there, start low and adjust higher if you have the option on your battery, as well drip juice on the atomizers wicks before using or give the tank puffs without battery about 5-10 times usually does the trick or you may burn your atomizer and ruin it as every puff off of a burnt coil will taste burnt forever YUCK!!! If you need more help, ask as I am not a newbie but I also do not know everything but I try!

Good luck!

Spinfuel dot com has a review on the largest size, which details the deferences between the aero & geni tanks. "Kanger Genitank Mega Review" There's a video review by Indoor smokers.

It's just an option to consider. At the price point you're looking at, this is what I'd buy. And, the next person to post would by something else. My best advice is just jump in. @suprtrkr is right, P3 is a fine choice, too. Nothing will be perfect, but almost anything will be better than smoking.

Just do it! Go out and get smoke-free.

PS. I didn't really shop around, but I found the genitanks on a UK site for 7.99 pounds. (sorry, I don't know the key strokes for a pound).

Turtle?

The mini PT3 is one of the very few tanks I didn't get on with.
*I also refused to review it* (it's complicated)
It's not a bad vape, but you need some power to run it and then if you over-power it, it can dry-hit (burn) on you. As a starter, it's OK, but if you have an MVP there are better choices.

An MVP 3.0 is overkill for something like this. You could try the later Kanger stuff, with AIRFLOW control (Aerotank, Genitank) or go up (sideways) to Aspire Mini Nautilus or even 'up' to Kanger Subtank.

Today, I am going away (the forum can breathe a sigh) and will be taking 4 small box mods and 4 tanks.
2 x mini Nautilus and 2 x subtank Nanos. That's it! :) No rebuildable kit, no 5ml beast tanks, just this and 2 packs of coils and liquid. These products have not let me down in any way for a year (subtanks a little less) and compared to the old products they perform better, last better and... well, they're just better.

I get that having a smaller, cheaper tank makes the MVP overkill and not used to its potential but I see it more as future proofing and can add a better tank at a later date!

So much choice when I thought originally the tank was the easy bit! Thought it was just the juice holder! It's been a couple of days I may just have to flip a few coins and dive in.

The suggestion of drilling a hole in a tank is way to far ahead of me right now also haha

Idea of making your own juices is growing on me aswell, doesn't seem as complicated as I thought it would and looks pretty fun! I'll have plenty of time and even less money when I go back to uni to give it a go!

The Eleaf GS Air M or MS are very good tanks with air flow control. Eleaf Tanks - Eleaf - Clearomizers Tanks

This is a good suggestion, too.

I don't know if this will make it easier for you, but any tank from the brands mentioned in this thread (e.g, Kanger, Aspire, eLeaf, et cetera) with a glass tank and variable airflow, and which is within your price range, should be a good starting point.
