Hi all,

I'm pretty new to vaping.. I've come as far as figuring out that I like the bottom coil tanks over the ones where I unscrew the drip tip and fill, and have two batteries -an ego (I think) 1000 and a KangerTech EVOD 650.

I'm noticing that if I vape consistently for any period of time, like while watching tv, or on the computer ;) I have to charge my batteries up to 3+ times! I've been reading the forum and just joined, but having a hard time finding the information I'm looking for, that's applicable to me. Please help!

I want to upgrade to a battery that lasts MUCH longer and will not require so much customization or set up on my part that something could go wrong. I want to learn in this whole upgrade process, but am not at a point where devoting a huge amount of time an $ is an option. I don't like the box shape, and am thinking that I don't want 'mechanical'. I'd also like it to work with tanks/clearomizers that I already have and would really prefer not to spend over $50, if a good one within that is possible. It seems like the lithium-ion would be perfect for me, but am open to all suggestions.

Thanks!
Rachel

Why not try the Itaste Vv/Vw? It's more the size of an ego battery, with the vv and vw of the MVP. It's only an 800 mAh, but most people I've talked to say they get a full day from it. The ones you have now could be your back ups.

I didn't think I'd like a box shaped one, but I really do love my MVP.

Hi guys, I'm a somewhat experienced Vaper, but a new forum member,
and just purchased an Innokin Itaste MVP mod. It was absolutely the best investment I've ever made! I coupled it with the Kanger ProTank 2, and it's a match made in heaven. Completely changed my vaping experience.

:)

Congratulations and welcome!

I agree, but if the OP's 1000mAh eGo doesn't last long enough, the iTaste V3 won't help...

You could get 3 of these for less than $50:

$14.27 EGO-C Twist 1300mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Battery - black / 3.2-4.8V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Right now I've been using a couple of them (and some other knockoff Ego twists) for a few months - battery life is usually 3-4 days for me, but that's considering I keep 4 in rotation at all times, so roughly 1 battery a day. They're a little more powerful than your big battery, twice as much juice as your little one. As a bonus you get a cheap intro to variable voltage, which I never knew I needed until about two minutes after I tried it the first time.

Note of caution: do your homework on Fasttech - some people love the store, others hate it. Shipping takes forever and, while I've only had one bad product that they replaced free of charge (though that also took forever), some people can't stand Chinese knockoffs of Chinese products.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I have never tried the box shape.. I think it might just be an aesthetic thing, because I really have no other reason to NOT like it! I do want to try VV.. I've been reading about it some on here but don't feel like I have a good grip on what I'd even be looking for, so the battery rotation seems like a good idea too! When I'm out, at work, running errands or whatever I don't want to have a charger/set up everywhere I am, so multiple, more reasonably priced batteries might be the ay to go on that. I read a lot about the Provari but unfortunately that's out of my price range at the moment :(

I use the Kanger Evod batteries exclusively and my 650 lasts me all day pretty much. On the weekend I will get into a second one usually but still no big deal. I have the longer (1100 I believe) batteries as well but notice that voltage does drop after the halfway point where as the 650 seems to hold its voltage the whole life of the charge. The 650 is the way to go and these Kanger batteries are way better than the Ego type.

Are you letting these fully charge? I'd think you'd get longer from your batteries than having to charge them 3x in a sitting. The 650 will definitely not last as long. How old is your 1000?

That's what I dislike about my ego type batteries, they get weaker feeling as they drain. I use them daily, especially at work. I had my MVP with me about a week ago, trying to get home to charge it before it died.... it died. The vape was just as strong on the last vape as it was the first.

I'm a chain vaper drawing lots of power from my batteries for big clouds, and a 2250 mAH battery lasts me at least 2 days. You can never go wrong with anything over 2000 mAH. I'm not sure how technical you are OP, but mAH stands for milliamp/hours, or how much current is output in an hour. Higher numbers=longer time in between charging. It's always good to take the time to read the label, trust me, I've skipped the literature a few times and ended up wasting my money!

Guys. The OP said she doesn't like the box mod battery thing. But wants to try VV with reliable batteries. For less than 50 dollars. AND something that can still take EGO.

So grab a Vamo V5 from fast tech and some Panasonic IMR batteries. And you should be good. I'll get back to this thread later since I'm on my phone.

I have nothing but good things to say about the VV. It's actually what I'm currently vaping on because I'm pet sitting at my girlfriend's house and I forgot my MVP  the great thing is that it charges with a micro usb (mini usb?) thingy so her camera charger works on it, I also keep some in my car just in case, but I can usually go about 8 hours just by charging it overnight, the variable vv is great for different coils etc.. if you're looking to upgrade to a nice not so expensive mod I would go with it, you can find great prices (I can give you a link if you need one) and it works great with my mini protanks/protank 2/ iclear 30B.

Mary, Vamo is a decent mod, but it's huge! Much bigger and heavier than the MVP. And you'll have to buy a charger and batteries separately. If you want a Vamo, look for a stainless steel V5. I'm sure many vendors carry it--just do a Google search.

If you're considering the MVP, 101 Vape has the best price but they are temporarily out of stock--Chinese New Year. ;)
