It may be on its last legs. They are good for about 300 charges. And if you are letting them fully discharge before recharging, they may be slowly dying after 8 months of use.

Hi all,
I'm pretty new to vaping.. I've come as far as figuring out that I like the bottom coil tanks over the ones where I unscrew the drip tip and fill, and have two batteries -an ego (I think) 1000 and a KangerTech EVOD 650.
I'm noticing that if I vape consistently for any period of time, like while watching tv, or on the computerI have to charge my batteries up to 3+ times! I've been reading the forum and just joined, but having a hard time finding the information I'm looking for, that's applicable to me. Please help!
I want to upgrade to a battery that lasts MUCH longer and will not require so much customization or set up on my part that something could go wrong. I want to learn in this whole upgrade process, but am not at a point where devoting a huge amount of time an $ is an option. I don't like the box shape, and am thinking that I don't want 'mechanical'. I'd also like it to work with tanks/clearomizers that I already have and would really prefer not to spend over $50, if a good one within that is possible. It seems like the lithium-ion would be perfect for me, but am open to all suggestions.

Too bad they don't come in VW YET.
I've been using VW mods now for a month but I still have those cords pluged in and use them sometimes; used to use them for dry burning, but I actually prefer dryburning with the VW mod because setting 3 watts can bring a coil to red hot without burnout.
You can get 2A wall adapters; I've seen 4A 6 port ones on fasttech too (just not sure yet if its a max of 1.5 per port).
I think that might be the case. The 650 seems better for the whole time, just VERY frequent charges required.. Which is all why I am where I am now, asking this question

Don't let them fully discharge--topping off helps to prolong Li-Ion batteries' life.

That's a passthrough.
BTW, you can do the same thing with your iTaste VV V3 and the MVP 2--they charge while you vape.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I have never tried the box shape.. I think it might just be an aesthetic thing, because I really have no other reason to NOT like it! I do want to try VV.. I've been reading about it some on here but don't feel like I have a good grip on what I'd even be looking for, so the battery rotation seems like a good idea too! When I'm out, at work, running errands or whatever I don't want to have a charger/set up everywhere I am, so multiple, more reasonably priced batteries might be the ay to go on that. I read a lot about the Provari but unfortunately that's out of my price range at the moment
Most devices have VW available; VW supercedes VV.
If you can get past the box shape, the MVP2 is THE best battery for the buck out there; biggest capacity, it's a passthru (you can vape while it charges), VV and VW, and if you shop around you might find one for $40.
So what is the difference, in layman's or newbie terms of VV and VW? With a battery that comes out to charge, from the Vamo v5, for example, the battery I choose is what gives it the mAh, right? And any battery that fits will give a variable power output depending on how I set it? Is this correct?

It's not a battery, it is a direct plugin. Plug it in to a usb port; if you get the 2 Amp wall adapter (you can get the usb wall adapter from Radio Shack and such), you get more power than you regular computer monitor usb port.
That's true! Hadn't thought of that! Come to think of it that would be the cheapest way to get VW AND vape on a plugin without having to worry about recharging!

The mvp is a solid first mod. you can toke on it all day till your lungs collapse.
Yup, A passthrough, a vv/vw device, dual eGo-510 threads, ohms reader--what's not to like?
I would say an SVD or vamo v5 would be a better choice, 2 extra charged batteries with you, and not even a power outage can stop you lol
Yes--the chip in your mod takes care of that. Use either an IMR or one of the new hybrid batteries.

So I think I have it narrowed down to the vv3 or the Vamo v5. As I am totally new to this type, is there anything I should definitely know about the battery? So far, what I've taken away is not to get it from China.
With VV you can change the voltage; the device will keep that voltage constant;
If you change your atomizer to one of different resistance you then have to use a different voltage.
With VW you can change the wattage; the device will keep that wattage constant;
If you change your atomizer to one of different resistance you do not have to change the wattage again. It compensates for the change in resistance.
Almost everything e-cig related is manufactured in China. But I digress.

I use and recommend Nitecore Intellicharge I2 charger--you can get it from Amazon--and AW IMR batteries. I get mine from RTD Vapor.
