So today I finally got my first set up in the mail! :) It is an ego 1100 mAh battery (well two) with two kanger t3s tanks. I have more juice on the way, hopefully tomorrow, but it came with an 18mg white peach flavor. It is some form of pg/vg mix but not sure of the exact ratios. Anywho after getting it all charged and ready I find the throat hit miserable! Like burning. I've read lots on how to inhale and feel I'm doing it properly. I hold the button down and inhale in my mouth verrrrrry slowly for about two seconds (that's all I can stand). Perhaps it's something to get used to but meanwhile all these thoughts are running through my head: Is it the nic level? I got 18 because I am a pack a day marlboro light smoker. I've read pg can irritate some, thankfully I have a virgin vapor order en route, so I can see how that works. Could I be inhaling wrong? Did I simply get too big of a battery and have too much power for my needs? Could I have accidentally gotten some juice in that middle chamber of the tank? Just crappy juice? I'm just super disappointed I can barely tolerate it as I was really hoping and pretty sure this would be a viable option for me :( Any thoughts or suggestions anyone has I'd be happy to hear! I was just reading a cough thread and related to many thoughts on it, maybe I just need to get used to vaping in general? Thanks for any suggestions guys!

And as a kind of silly side note, after a search I couldn't really find anything about cleaning tanks between juices? I did at one time but seem to have lost it. Any advice on that appreciated as well. Again - you guys rock. You've all been so helpful. Thanks again:laugh:

Nope nope

Technique for personal vaping is puff puff puff like a cigar or trying to start a 1/2 lit analog

Cleaning tanks between juices is pretty straight forward

Rinse with as hot a water as you can stand running, then blow out, rinse and repeat 3x, then either set tank aside to dry overnight (you have a spare right) or blow it out VERY good, when you fill it, put a drop on the center wick (you are priming the water soaked coil) then puff puff puff (it will take maybe 2x of puff puff puffing before it boils off the water and starts re-wicking the oily e-juice)

That center "tank" is actually the air flow port when you puff in, you want to keep it clean..but to prime the coil the 1st use (one or two drops of fluid only) after that keep it dry or you could get some liquid e-juice and it usually doesn't taste all that great

I rinse my tanks ever time I empty them...but that is just personal preference

Vape on!

Whoa!

First, is this a plain eGo battery or an eGo Twist? If you can shoot us a link to the battery you purchased that will help.

If it's a plain (non Twist) eGo, even if your Kanger T3 came with the lowest ohm coil available - 1.8 ohms - that should not be coming off as burnt tasting. After you added liquid, how long before you took your first pull off it? Did you wait seconds even? lol

First I want to hear more about that battery.

It says ego-t...I'm assuming that means twist? Maybe it's just the nic level that's downright nasty? Gahhhh all my juices coming are 18mg...oh well all sample packs. I'll know for next time to try 12.

Cleaning a T3 is easy; Unscrew the bottom removes the entire atomizer assembly.

You can get the T3S upgrade, so you only have to replace the atomizer, instead of the whole bottom assembly.

Rinse in hot water, twice a week. Lots of vids on youtube about this.

Like Big Ben said, cleaning is fairly easy, also Rick has a good question about your ego.

Lots of things about vaping are a personal preference, it could be you just don't like white peach, or maybe the PG doesn't like you. If you have a regular ego,( no dial at the bottom to adjust voltage), then you most likely do not have too much power. The 1100 MAH won't hit any harder than a 650 or 900 mah of the same style, but your battery will last longer between charges. Others could tell you more about your battery if you post a link to where you got.

If you got juice somewhere where it does not belong, you should hear gurgling or maybe get juice in your mouth.

I would try the new juice and see what happens, as for nic, I use 24, so to me 18 isn't too much. But again that differs wildly between vapers.

As for inhaling, do like Warhawk states, or another way I have heard it described is like drinking a milkshake through a straw, someone will surely describe it better than I have.

Nothing is wrong with her equipment, it's the liquid. It's probably too much nic and too much PG. Definitely 100% VG will have a lot less throat hit and burning. I don't vape like it's a cigar. I vape like I used to smoke and had the same issue. I dropped my nic level and all is well.

Thanks Susan, that's what I'm thinking :)

It depends on the PG/VG percentages too so some might be just fine. I like mine with more PG than VG as I do like a nice throat hit rather than lots of clouds of vapor.

Ahh yes. It's the second one.

Your culprit is most likely the juice then. You pretty much have the idea, either the nic level is too high for you, or PG just doesn't like you. I hope when your new juice arrives that you find something you like that doesn't burn your throat. Good luck.
