I bought a used kayfun v4 yesterday. Last night I totally disassembled it and ringed with water, dried, and soaked in everclear for 30 minutes. After rinsing and drying, and rebuilding, I can still taste the old flavor over top of my cinnamint. Anyone have a suggestion?

Some use alcohol and I didn't find it getting the smell out. I use 20/80 vinegar to water. Soak for an hour and then hot rinse and air dry. Never had the issue again.
Usually soaking and scrubbing in Dawn, followed by a good rinse, then an alcohol soak does it.
like others said break it down to its smallest parts scrub each one by hand rinse well soak in alcohol , throw in ultrasonic cleaner and give it a try . if that doesn't work swap out the soft parts the stainless doesn't hold flavor.
I use dish soap and hot water, and then dry it the best I can, and then rub each piece down with grain alcohol.
Had the same problem with a used kayfun lite + and even after washing with detergent and alcohol and scrubbing with a tooth brush several times I finally took even the smallest parts out and still didn't work! Finally I replaced the o-rings and tank and that was the cause of it. Maybe you will be luckier with the less used version 4. A sonic cleaner is the best option to try before replacing parts.
