HELP ME KayFun V4 CLONE Shorted

With NO coil shes reading .02 ohm.. disassembled referred to kayfun schematic to validate re assembly
cleaned and rebuild with out coil
still reading .02 added coil that shoudl have worked out to like 1.4 Ohm she reads .05 - .02 still,,,,

She has been working fine for a week I have pics up of the wonderfulness this flavor monster exposed me to ... then all of a sudden ...
Un happiness and I cant seem to fix her...

please help I'm not sure the vendor will replace and even if so I'd prefer not to ship it back

That is because it creates a direct short from the base (negative) and what should have passed to the top (positive). I did it the first time, as with you, will never happen again

Did you take a good look at the deck. You positive block may have become tweaked and touching the negative post. I know that recently happened to Roxy. She straightened it out tightened it up and the rta is back in the rotation.

Yep it did, on the eXpromizer! And on that atty it was hard to even see it.

One other time on a 4 post RTA, I had a little snipped off coil lead from a positive post touch a negative post. It happened on a rewick. Sometimes you have to look closely from various angles to find these things.
