Can somebody please tell me how to get this Pina Colada flavor out of my Aspire BVC Glassomizer? I dumped it out, took it apart and wiped it out everywhere, changed the coil and filled my tank with cheesecake...but the flavor is still there . It's not as strong, of course, but it's a taste I don't care enough for to keep vaping on til it disappears.

I had this issue once before with a flavor called Spew and I almost threw my tank away. I was able to mask it with something else, finally...I think it was strawberry lemonade (irrelevant, most likely)

Thing is though that I am starting to mix my own and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be running into this issue a lot more. I can't just keep filling those tanks with flavors I already have tanks for...I need those tanks for testing my new mixes. Also, changing out a brand new coil every time is just too expensive...it is for me anyways. What can I use to clean the tank to ensure the flavor is completely out of it ? Is there a way to clean the coil out too? What about rubbing alcohol? Or maybe a grain alcohol like from the liquor store?

Rinse it out really good with hot water. Then soak the whole thing (disassembled) in PGA (not rubbing alcohol). Time to soak is up to you. You may want to repeat steps 1 and 2. Let it completely dry (the PGA helps it dry faster). Add juice and let it sit for several minutes to make sure the wick is wet before vaping.

If that doesn't work, you may need to throw away the coil.

You can use cheap vodka instead of PGA. (We actually can't buy PGA here in MA...)

For extremely persistent flavors you might have to do a quick rinse in diluted vinegar, followed by a good rinse or soak in PGA or water. Vinegar is corrosive, though, so don't go nuts with it!

If too much flavor is trapped in the wick, though, getting a new coil might be the only way.

For DIY, a good solution is to use a carto with the stuffing pulled out (but not the coil!) as a mini-dripper. Let's you do a quick taste.

I had this problem after using PUR Fresh Blueberry. I cleaned it out and used compressed air to dry it. I could taste and smell blueberry over my Irish Cream! I think the gaskets sucked up the flavor. You might want to try removing the grommets and soaking them in hot water or even your favorite ejuice! After 2 tanks of coffee and caramel flavored juices, it went away. If only I could get my house to stop smelling like a blueberry muffin bakery!!!

P.S. Don't use rubbing alcohol as it has perfume in it...

Do what everyone said above, but also consider cleaning inside of the chimney! Sometimes you can get that flavor in there and just rinsing it does not do the trick. Get some paper towels and cut them into thin strips. Then roll them into thin toothpick like strands and shove and twist them inside the chimney preferably after you have rinsed it to give it a chance of cleaning the inside.

Some flavors are really hard to get rid of. I have soaked tanks overnight in cheap vodka and washed in hot soapy water and still the flavor lingers.
I vaped some anise blends when I first started vaping and those tanks were not good for anything after that.
You might what to look into a small easy to build dripping atty for taste testing juices for yourself.
That would let you drip a few drops and taste and then make adjustment without really changing your test batch total mls.
Then its just pull out the cotton and rinse and rewick..............cheap and easy. Good luck:toast:

Throw the coil in boiling water for 15 minutes, that should take care of half the problem. I've had the best luck with getting smells out by letting the tank sit overnight in a bowl of water with baking soda in it. I don't know how much, just dump that .... in there. Pour in hot or boiling water and stir it all around every few hours. Make sure it's baking soda though and not baking powder, otherwise we're just wasting time. You can also do the same thing but instead of the soda use dish soap. And if that fails, dump baking soda directly into the tank, enough to fill er up. Let that sit for a few hours then rinse out thouroughly. If any smell is left then it's earned it's right to be there and you'll have to consult with a priest or a rabbi to get it out. Maybe both to be safe.

I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to get back to this post...life gets real crazy for me too often...lol! I always thought water would ruin the coil. I started vaping about a year ago and still know so little.

I don't have straight PG. I bought my base premixed 50/50 with nic...would that work? Or just go ahead with vodka...?

I gotta say I really enjoyed the humor in a couple of the replies ☺

Thank you to you all!
