that's awesome looks like i'm looking for a sony vtc4, vtc5 or Samsung 25r2, 25r5. What's the word on these orbtronics, LGs and MXJO?

Edit: o wait i was reading the chart wrong. This man has done some in depth work pointing out the false claims. Has this info been verified?

No one has done retesting to check my results but you can find discharge curves on the web for most of the batteries I have tested. It's a good match. :)

What you won't find is anyone else who sets battery ratings based on temperature, a critical part of setting a rating! This is the same way the manufacturers (Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic) set their ratings, along with using cycle life and voltage sag. To my knowledge I am also the only one who does multiple discharges at a battery's rating to check for damage and be better able to estimate cycle life for the battery. Typical testing for each battery runs from 10-14 discharge/charge cycles.

As mentioned, my blog contains a list of my equipment and my testing methodology. Been doing it for about 23 years now. :) I encourage you to check out what other testers do, ask questions, and find someone who you feel had the best grasp of what's needed to test these batteries accurately and fairly.

Not to go against the crowd, but I DON'T recommend the Subtanks. Especially if you are looking into getting a 100w mod. The coils of the Subtank can't handle the higher watts like some other tanks. I've had too many problems with dry hits on their coils(even at 15w, and 60/40 vg juice). Tanks like the Herakles, ijust 2, Uwell Crown, or the Smok tfv4 would be a better choice.[/QUOTE

Thanks- now I think we're thinking the same. Agree on the Kanger subtank entirely. A few suggested the Joye evic, but to spend the money only to get another 20w and a mediocre tank that has a non-removable drip tip and tends to leak, plus an internal battery that's expensive to replace if needed? My thoughts are to get one of the tanks you mentioned above, or maybe a Starre, and combine it with a TC mod in the 100w range, any major brand, with 2 batteries and a charger.

Any reason I should care if the mod is Sigelei, Pioneer IPV4, Tesla, etc? I expect it will be used in TC mode most often, if that is a factor in ease of use and reliability; e.g. stable connection......?

would you trust these 30A 2500mAh batteries ?

Those are the Samsung 1865025R. Although Gearbest advertises them as 30 amp batteries, their true continuous discharge rate (CDR) is really 20 amps. Just about every other vendor advertises these batteries by their CDR (20 amps).

I highly recommend purchasing your batteries from reputable battery vendors such as RTD Vaper, Illumn, Orbtronics, or IMR Batteries.

How many people that post reviews have the equipment or knowledge to test these batteries? .01% maybe? Just because they don't blow up doesn't mean they aren't rewraps. Plus, since the Sony batteries are only sold to be used in battery packs for tools, laptops etc, who is to say they haven't sat on a shelf at a warehouse for 5 years before being liquidated to Fasttech? Ask Mooch or Badittude what they think about Fasttech batteries, they are the resident battery experts on this site.

Also, Fasttech has nothing to lose. They are a China based company, you can't sue them. You have no legal options against them whatsoever. A lot of people here use them for cheap stuff, but far less so when it comes to batteries. Not worth it to me when I can buy from a US company that does random testing on shipments of batteries they recieve.

    You Said It,,,
" that does random testing on shipments of batteries they receive. "
    They receive from where????????
Further more,,,,,Break random down , and it spells it out.

As @Baditude mentioned, they're 20A cells. Darn good ones, but 20A

I trust 25R's :) but not from any place other than Illumn, Orbtronic, Liionwholesale, IMRBatteries, and RTDVapor. Those may be genuine cells, but who knows. For me personally, it's worth it to pay whatever it might it cost to know that they will be genuine. Especially since they will last at least a year. But I know a lot of people feel differently and look for the lowest price possible.

So you would rather buy batteries from a company that doesn't cull out the bad batches? The companies that they buy from know who tests and who doesn't, so they know where they can send the trash. If you want to increase your risk of getting trash, that's fine. Just don't recommend that to newbies.

So I've made a purchase on tank and mod.
Got Tank and Mod from Gearbest to save $15 and it stated 3-7 days shipping with no tracking info . Kind of unsure about this but i figured I'd give it a shot. The actual items look a bit off in picture and description, but i have ask and they assure the items are legit and authentic.

The things that throw me off are that the iStick has a mat back top and bottom not a chrome one. This item has good reviews with pictures.

Also, the black Kanger Subtank plus (usually comes with a .15, .2, and .5 ohm RBA coil but this comes with .2, .5 RBA (and possibly 1.2 ohm) from what i can gather from description and Q&A. This item also has no reviews making me believe no one has purchased it.

Although they where a bettert price i could have gotten the Tank and Mod from myvapestore for still great prices, but $15 more including shipping. I'm praying that trying so save a bit more for great batteries doesn't come back to bite me. What do you guys think of the purchase so far?

@Mooch @SomeTexan So I'm deciding between the LG HG2 and the Samsung m at 3000mAh but leaning towards the Samsung because according to the info
it is actually pushing 20A CDR and is capable of 25A max pulse. Do you think that is a justified and smart choice, or should I move to a higher Max Amp with lower mAh like the Sony VTC4/5, Samsung 25r2,25r5, or LG HE2/4. I'm only planning on vaping from .5-1.5 ohm (Possibly .2 ohms if I feel comfortable enough with the stability), so I'm thinking about 50 Watts max.

Hello friends in the community! I need your help with a very important decision.

So I started vaping about 2 months ago with an ego-T starter kit. Haven't touched a cigarette since. I've been using a coworkers old I'm VV Vamo mod with a dented battery with an kangertech areotank that falls apart for the past month . Works, but I'm ready to invest in something a little better.

Theres way to many options but I need help choosing a MOD kit, or Mod tank and battery combo. many at the job have a Kangerteck subox mini ( 70 plus tax and battery sry local store, $55 online), but I'm looking for the best bagng for the buck (under 100) with good battery life.

    Here are my guidelines
    Required:
    High amp replaceable 18650 battery
    Usb charging port on MOD
    Good airflow on tank
    Variable voltage/wattage
    Under $100

    Hoping for but not required:
    50W
    Dual battery

Everything else is in the air because I'm not knowledgeable enough to be picky.

    Thanks in advance
    ipv4s and tfv4

Ordered my batteries from LiionWholesale for the lowest price with the 2 day shipping on Monday. Stopped by the house to find it sitting with a another strange package... I know it couldn't be the package that shipped from Singapore I ordered on Friday... Gearbest is a GearBeast! Cheapest price and Amazon prime speed shipping from China. Time to vape.

Thanks everybody for all the suggestions, I'll let you know how it blows.
