Hi @Odeezy2ez
on a regulated box mod you will not feel any difference, the CHIP should regulate the W/V to what you set to... it is on Mech Mod where the difference takes place.. with that being said you should take a battery with just the right balance Life Span/ Max Current Discharge for the Mod you have and vaping style (ohms builds).

It does not make much sense to me buying a 30A LG with 1500 mAh if you are going to use it on an average of 15A.. you can find other batteries with Lower Max Current Discharge but with higher mAh so it last longer.

Looking for similar, but more like 100w plus and temp control, to work with a Crown Uwell or similar. I started a month ago with a Kanger sub mini and an ileaf estick 40 TCW. Lots I don't here. The Kanger is hot, noisy, gurgles. 0.5 coils better than others, an air holes open.

I can use with TC, but then it's a lot less vapor production. Either I get clouds (and cough) with higher VG, or use 6 nic at 60/40 VG to feel better (3 was like no nic effect) but with very little vapor output.

So, I want my cake and eat it too, meaning vapor production without the heat, noise, and spit-back from a heavy, wet vape. The best vape I can get without building and customization, for a reasonable price.

As for TC mods, how much will I need to tinker to get the mod to work in TC mode, or to alternate? I don't see changing wires or using a cell app each time. If nothing else, my iStick 40 TCW knows when I've installed a nickle coil, and goes into TC mode with no further work. Can it be this easy with a more powerful mod, or is there more required? I know I will need a charger and batteries but that's simple.

With a better tank, will I no longer need TC? My limited experience says "no," but thought I'd ask.

Again== what tank/mod to get, without breaking the bank, to get the pleasure without the pain?

Thanks very much,
Mike

20A constant is fine for what your looking for.
I was hoping that was the case. I'm pretty settled on the istick, and I'm finding it for about $30 from a legit retailer. the official website had it in a combo with the Sony VTC4 2100mAh battery at 30A. i don't believe i'm going to be using high wattage or very much sub ohming at this point, but i would like the over head to play with later. It also states a 20A min and 35 max.

What are titanium coils used for, Temp control also?

Yes, Ti coils are for temp control as well. I would not use them without temp control.

For batteries, I've got Samsung 25R's and Sony VTC4's. There isn't much different in life in my mod, and I like having the extra amps avalible although I almost never turn it up to 200 watts.

I get my batteries from http://liionwholesale.com and they have always been authentic. I believe they have given Mooch batteries to test.

I wouldn't buy batteries from Fasttech. And I'm not the only one that feels this way. Batteries and chargers only from battery specific vendors, prefferably ones that are vendors on this site...

As I am to believe,,,,Fast Tech is a recognized vendor of this site. Sony batteries from Fast Tech will be the real deal. Any downfall is the wait, especially with batteries having to go ground shipping by most carriers.

As far as I know, they don't test their batteries when they recieve them like a battery specific vendor does. Their suppliers could be sending them old or fake/rewrap batteries. I will buy some stuff from them but not batteries.

We each are entitled to our opinions.
I would imagine a company as large as Fast Tech would have found out through reviews if the batteries were
( bad or forged ) and pulled them from the shelf.

They had reviews that have noted the Dovpo dT-50 could not reach 50 watts. They posted that reviews showed the unit not capable of 50 watts. The actual situation is,,, you have to have below a 3 ohm build to go above 40 watts.

IMO,,, Fast Tech has to much to loose to sell ( styled ) products without stating ( styled. ) Styled = clone )

Further more, if you found out ( and can prove ) that the Sony batteries you bought were not Sony, they will pay the postage back to you for returning them. There return policy is great. What sucks is the wait!

How many people that post reviews have the equipment or knowledge to test these batteries? .01% maybe? Just because they don't blow up doesn't mean they aren't rewraps. Plus, since the Sony batteries are only sold to be used in battery packs for tools, laptops etc, who is to say they haven't sat on a shelf at a warehouse for 5 years before being liquidated to Fasttech? Ask Mooch or Badittude what they think about Fasttech batteries, they are the resident battery experts on this site.

Also, Fasttech has nothing to lose. They are a China based company, you can't sue them. You have no legal options against them whatsoever. A lot of people here use them for cheap stuff, but far less so when it comes to batteries. Not worth it to me when I can buy from a US company that does random testing on shipments of batteries they recieve.

Not a Mod ( depending on the definition of mod ) and not 100 watts but I have been using the iTaste vv 4 with a KangerTech mini, works great, neat features with pass through charging. The new 4 version has a little more power than the previous, last a pretty good while on a charge and the air flow adjustment is nice on the tank. Small and sleek, easy to pocket on the job! I hope that this is somewhat helpful!

Not to go against the crowd, but I DON'T recommend the Subtanks. Especially if you are looking into getting a 100w mod. The coils of the Subtank can't handle the higher watts like some other tanks. I've had too many problems with dry hits on their coils(even at 15w, and 60/40 vg juice). Tanks like the Herakles, ijust 2, Uwell Crown, or the Smok tfv4 would be a better choice.

the eleaf website is selling a combo with the Sony vtc4 2100mAh 30A batteries istick 100W. i keep seeing things that are leading me to believe that they want you to use at least a 30-35A battery. Of course i'm looking at the higher mAh batteries because i'm looking for longer life but i notice that not many people if any are buying the higher 2900mAh 35A batteries like the Efest and that concerns me. Am i missing something. Are these batteries more dangerous. They are even cheaper than the lower mAh batteies.

There are NO 18650 batteries that are safe over 30 amps. Efest batteries are rewraps of other batteries and are rated way over their safe capacity. @Mooch has done extensive testing of batteries for vaping and has test posted on this site. @Baditude has some good info in his blogs as well. Look up their findings or pm them for help if you need to. If you are running lower power, you have several options, but if you want to crank it up, Sony VTC4's are you best bet. Don't fall for the Efest trap. Some are ok batteries, but you need to research which ones, and hope they don't change.
