Thanks again. I just did that. Now here's the thing. I've built the coil (1.3 ohms) and have the cotton wicked. Without the chimney on, I fire it up and get vapor, but when I screw the chimney down all the way, I don't get any clouds nor do I get an error on my Provari. If I unscrew it just a little bit, everything works again. Makes me think I'm getting some sort of short, but nothing seems to be touching. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: If it helps any, there is a ticking noise when I'm firing the mod but nothing else happens.

Figured it out...One of the legs was sticking out just far enough where it was touching the chimney when screwing in creating the short. Problem solved. :)

Ok, so first build on the kayfun 3.1 is done. Getting great vapor, but the flavor is practically nonexistent. Not sure why this is. I'm trying different voltages to see if it changes any, but not sure what's going on. The build itself looks and works good, but not sure what's going on with the flavor. Any thoughts or suggestions?

What's the resistance of your coil?
What's your wick material.
How much wick is in your juice wells?

Edit: just read the post above which answers 2 of those questions.

Did you build a micro coil?

How high in mm above the air inlet is the coil?

Most of the chimney style ones do, yes. It's easy though, open the fill hole, take an empty plastic juice bottle, squeeze it, pop the tip in the fill hole, invert the tank and let the bottle suck up the juice. Works beautifully and with a little practice you won't lose a drop of juice.

Nice tip for draining a full tank. I'll definitely try it on my R91. Thanks Lexx

Lexx - the 3.1 Fill holes is from the side and no hole that I know of that would fit a bottle tip. It's not like the KFL that is a bottom screw.

The juice ran out this morning so I changed the wick but the flavor is still lacking. I wonder if the resistance is too low for the juice. I need to try a different juice next and see if it changes anything. I have more kanthal coming tomorrow too so may change up the build and see if it helps too.

Draining a 3.1 is just as simple as the lite.

Unless your 3.1 is different to everyone else's it will work. Even bottle tips that don't fit IN the hole still work...

I'll have to give it a try and see if it works for me. Thanks for the tip.

My coil is directly above the air inlet and a few mm's above. The other thing that has me thinking a little is whether or not there's enough juice coming down to soak the wick. I had a slight leak today in the car with the Kayfun/Provari laying at an angle in my cupholder. Since then, the flavor has gotten better, which makes me think that the juice wasn't wicking for some reason.

I'm completely lost and would appreciate some help. The last two times I've filled my kayfun, it's leaking nonstop. I've watched a few clips on top filling it but it's not working. Don't know what else to.do. Any tips and tricks would be great so I don't give up on it.

Make sure all the o-rings are in place and fill from the bottom as per the unit's design.

The only time my kayfun has leaked the chimney o-ring was out of place.

Lexx - I'm lost. Even tried the bottom fill and juice was leaking out of the fill hole (where I had the syringe in) as well as through the drip tip end. This is becoming a pain and I'm' wondering if it was worth it. Nothing I try to fill up the tank is working.

Sounds a lot like your chimney o-ring could be out of position/leaking. Something is out of whack somewhere!

I took a pic of my setup prior to filling it up unsuccessfully. IMG_20140306_192954.jpg
