How about distilled water? I know some people use it to thin VG, but how does it affect vapor production and TH?
Hey Biff.
Water needs a higher temp to vaporize than juices, so adding water will cut the production of vapor, depending on the cut ratio.
I think the "some people" who cut w/ water think they need to because it may affect wicking, gum up the atty, etc. Not needed if you use a normal 50/50 or 75/25 pg/vg mix.
I use 100% vg because I like a soft th and massive vapor, and never have any performance problems. And the gumming up myth? Gotta be from people who never use all vg exclusively who heard about it somewhere. Just mo.
The best to you Biff!
Edit: Forgot to mention that water used to cut VG won't have a significant effect on th because vg by itself has almost no th anyway. I vape pure vg out of my vg bottle to clear my atty before dripping a different flavor juice, and sometimes vape it just for the plumes of vapor...very relaxing imo. Try dripping a few drops and vaping it...you might like it!! Unless you try, you'll never know.
