Help! Ego battery question!

Ok, so I've been using a LR (1.5 ohm) Mega Atomizer with my Ego batteries and after about an hour or so, when I press on the button, it lights up, gives me light vapor, starts to dim...then flashes 3 times. If I let it rest for a minute, it will give me a decent hit...then do the same thing again. I've had these batteries for a couple of weeks...are they dying already? BTW...the LR Mega atty is insane...when everything is working fine.

I'm under the impression that the ego battery is a 650mAH ICR14500 cell (Lithium Cobalt). The maximum safe drain rate for the cell is probably between 650mA and 1300mA. A 1.5Ohm atty will draw in excess of 2 amps from the cell.

If the assumption that the eGo is in fact an ICR chemistry (not IMR chemistry) is true, then running an LR atty will kill the batteries quickly.

Oh.... and abused ICR cells can be very dangerous. Thought cigs were bad? Do a search for hydrofluoric acid.
