There are lots to chose from, do not let yourself get tied down matching your initial purchase...Check out the suppliers page. Starting out if you stay with 510 threaded or EGO you will have lots of easy to mix and match options...

I actually bought 2 crap kits before venturing out and finding the better stuff. My first bit was an eGo passthrough, a couple of SmokTech eGo dual-coil cartomizers, and a couple of small bottles of juice. That cost about half what I let go of for just one of the crap kits.

If you like the form factor of an analog, I personally like the Volt from Smokeless Image. (This is what I use at work.) Good equipment (so far), good flavours, and the cartos are easily refillable. The price is also a screamin' deal. This is what I wish i'd bought first.

I'm in agreement with most everyone else, though. eGo/510 is a really good and easy way to go, especially for us n00bs.

i started with a 808 passthrough powercig from v2cigs, i was spending too much on cartridge packs that didn't last. I realized i needed to fill my own stuff and 510 gear was offering way more variety. so i got a 510 adapter for 808 battery 901 / 808 to 510 Adapter and ive been happy filling up vivi novas and playing with rebuildable atomizers. so much to learn.
