Hey guys, I have a question and I trust the GG community so this is where I want to post my question, Imeo if you feel this is the wrong place I definately understand.

So I got home tonight and my kick arrived in the mail waiting for me. Once I opened it up I noticed that the top post next to the potentiometer was slightly bent. Now Ive never noticed it in reviews but I felt like maybe theres not a big issue. Well I set it in and with the battery I used for the past 8 hours (18490) worked for about 30 mins. then it kept hitting for a sec then nothing. I popped in a fresh 18490 and got on ECF.

So my questions are is the slight bend on the post an issue, or was it just using a battery that was nearing its charge?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

I would contact the vendor about the bent pin. As for battery life it varries person to person and mod to mod. I can tell you though that my all SS GGTS would only last about an hour with a 18490. Longest I have ever gotten with a Panasonic 18650 is 3 hours and these batteries last the longest out of everything I have tried.

Thx guys, Ill try posting a pic but it really is only a slight bend, I figured it was just manufacturing tolerences if there is such a thing. Fright88 Im having the exact issue you described. Now in the other kick thread they have all sorts of tips and tricks but is there any thing I can do to make it last the entire charge of the battery? I dont see any brass pins on COV and with all the advance orders Im unsure of when they'll be available.

The GGTS is the only device I vape, I've tried others and every time I get a new device I always give a new one away beacuse nothing works like my GG. I'm just really hoping theres a remedy cause I really like the first hour on this thing.

The short answer is, no you can't make it last the entire battery charge. Much like a ProVari or any other device with a low voltage cutoff it will determine your battery is too low between 3.4-3.5 volts unloaded. This means the battery is close to 3.2 volts with a load on it and it's time to charge it.

The good news is you can vape from 4.2 to 3.4 volts with the suggestions in the other thread. You basically want to have clean contact everywhere so the kick doesn't believe your batteries are lower then they actually are and want you to charge them. Using a 1.6ohm coil all of my kicks have me pull the battery right around 3.4. Same as a ProVari.

If I remember my numbers correctly the kick is designed to stop working at about 3.2v under load. Which I have seen is usually around 3.6ish v unloaded. That being said from my testing my freshly cleaned SSGGTS has about .05 voltage loss and when it is dirty is is usually closer to .1v. My aluminum GGTS has less loss about .02-.05v.

As for what you can do I recommend throwing as much brass on it as you can. Switching to a brass button/button springs and telescope got me about .15v more out of a battery (as far as when the kick starts stuttering or mis-firing) I plan on putting in a brass battery axis or maybe even going full brass once the pre-order parts come in (well other then the connector tank and controll ring)
