Help!!! How do i get my 801 atty apart???

I have soooo many dead 801 atomisers and would like to try my hand at rebuilding them but i cant seem to get them apart. Please someone help me. Pic's would help too.

one suggestion I read here was to soak it in acetone for approx. 15 minutes to soften up the glue. Then, if you can, use a dead batt to help hold the thread end and gently wiggle and pull until it comes apart.

I've used the brute force pliers method and ended up with a few minor scratches but came apart all the same - twist and pull process.

Depends on what result you want and the post use your after.

If that doesn't work, find a friend with a dremel. They aught to be able to cut a seam down the length of it.

Ummm, how is he going to put it back together without the case?

I have used a soldering iron around the base to loosen the glue. But be careful not to hold it too long!! I have also used 99% alcohol to loosen the glue.
