I can't find the thread where it tells you how to properly use the method of dripping straight onto the atty...

I have an 801 atty and I know i can put 1 or 2 drips into the atty, but I want to know how to keep doing this and still prolong the life of the atty..

if you can tell me the steps that would be great, but if you know the thread i am talking about that would be even better :D i tried to find it again, but i guess i am not wording it right.... I know I should have posted a msg or supscribed to it so I could have referred back to it

Thanks in advance

What I do, and this seems to work well (I also use penstyle attys), slowly drip onto the bridge, if you miss, it's not a huge deal, but try and get the majority of your drops right onto the bridge. Wait a few seconds in between drops, you can actually see the bridge mesh soak up the liquid.

I use 4 drops each time. If the atty has been recently blown out or cleaned, you are going to need more than 4 drops to get it going, and then re-drip 4 drops every time it starts to taste like it's out of liquid.

Also, there is the reverse atomizer blowout method. Just take a few un-activated draws (no power to the atty), you may hear/feel the liquid drawing back up into the mesh, this seems to help with flooding, and also can get you a few extra puffs of vapor before needing to re-drip.

Sorry I don't have the link to the thread you're speaking of, but I've been dripping for a bit, and this has been working quite well for me so far.

Also, depending on your atomizer, you may be able to get more than 4 drops between re-dripping. You will just have to experiement and see what works best for you.

what are the effects/signs of flooding

Excessive gurgling sounds, harder draw, reduced vapor and leaking (especially between the atty & battery) are most typical signs of flooding.

To remedy you can blow the atty out from the battery side, or, what I do is tip the e-cig so that the cart is lower than the "cherry" (about a 45 degree angle) and take gentle puffs until it clears up.
