hi , this is my first post , so i hope i didn't break any rules of posting ,

i have an evic mod , i liked it ,LIKED IT , but when i got my first and only rda ( igo w ) i loved rda , so i got 32 gauge and start building , but and than i wanted to move on the 28 gauge , and every time i make a coil of 28 gauge , my evic tells me it's a short coil , but the coil fires on ego battery ,
so why it doest fire
and what else should i get instead of evic ? a mechanical ?

thanks for taking time to replay , and sorry if i post it in wrong section

Welcome to ECF...

APVs have a minimum resistance limiter (which you can look up in your spec sheet), and below that limit, they won't fire - because they "read" that there is a short to ground. You've gone below that resistance value.
Get a resistance measuring device - from a simple ohm reader to a DMM, so you can measure your coils actual resistance.

If you click on my sig line, it leads to a coil build calculator.

The evic won't fire below 1.3ohms. Have you tried a 3/32 drill bit and like 9 wraps? With lower guage you need more wraps to reach higher then the 1.3 required. I normally run 1/18 drill bit with 8 wraps and usually get 1.8 ohms on a dripper. If you want dual coil your prob going to need 32 with bigger bit and same possible wraps.

Good luck and keep us posted. All else get a mech if you want sub ohm capability.
