Hey fellow users!

I am new to vaping and I recently purchased a EGO-C starter kit for my first PV. I like it and it works decently, but I'm begging to figure out that i need something better and in lieu of spend the $$ that i do not have for VV or something similar I am hoping to find a way to make my EGO-C better, faster, stronger!!! Hehehehehehehe... I have the standard 3.2 to 3.7(fully charged) batteries and SR Atty and normal tank system. I was thinking LR atty would do, but do any fit the EGO-C battery? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! TY

Hey Coryac,
-I also have the Ego-C, and though I ended up buying something else, I still use it when I'm out and about. I regularly use Boge's LR cartos on them and have not had any problems. I've also tried the Smoketech LR dual coils, and they worked for me. In this configuration, it's easy just to put in the back pocket of my jeans to go somewhere (Of course don't sit on it). I bought a ring to that goes around the base (Think it just looks better; Don't think it serves a real purpose). The 650 mah ego looks pretty cool w/ a stainless steel carto and a stainless steel ring.

I'm still using a Joyetech eGo as my power unit (2-1000mah and 1 - 1000mah passthrough) and it sounds to me like you're got those ol' 3.4v blues, and affliction aggravated by the fact that the quality control is so sketchy throughout this industry that there's a good chance that your SR atty's have even higher ohms than what they're rated at. My eGo-T SR atomizers are around 3.0 ohms, and the LR ones are 2.3 ohms and 7.0 ohms, the latter one obviously being a dud.

Your cheapest way out? Get some LR cartomizers - I'd get Boge's or Resurrectors - in in the two lowest ohm ratings they offer. Your power unit just can't rock the atomizers you have. (The ressurectors might come in 1.7 ohm only, but not sure about that; but that would be a good resistance for a Joyetech battery).

if you don't have one, get the cheapest digital multimeter you can, so you can measure the resistance of all your atomizers/cartomizers so you can see what's going on, and why they perform the way they do. Obviously, you can also use the meter to measure the voltage of your battery; I've never seen mine put out more than 3.41 volts; if they really do come off the charger at 3.7v, I have a feeling that probably lasts for about 10 seconds, after the "surface charge" gets burned off.

Yes, you can use almost any cartomizer/tank/atomizer you want on your Joyetech battery.

All of this just underscores the benefits of having a variable voltage power unit in your arsenal as soon as you can get one. That way you can deliver the exact amount of voltage that each of your atomizers in your collection requires to produce the exact amount of watts required to properly vape any flavor, pg/vg ratio, or thickness of juice. VV = vaping Nirvana; or so I've heard.

You could also get an e-Power 14650 or 18650 power unit for $25-30 bucks that would at least deliver a true 3.7 volts to your eGo-C atomizers, which would help a little. In any case, I think you just need to achieve a better match of voltage and atomizer resistance.

Vape on.

Even at high voltage the ego tanks always seemed to mute flavor for me. Like the other posters, ego batts are my on the go batts. QC is very good on the Joye Egos, never had a bad one. Boge 2.0 work very well with them, and they last longer for me than the ressurecters or smoke tech dual coils. The thick fill holds up well to repeat cleaning and refilling.

I also am new to vaping and a month ago received my eGo-C with SR attys. Tried it and decided I liked vaping, haven't had an analog since. Found the tanks a bit of a pain. Popping caps off liquid on fingers and of course the question of "Would something else be better." So ordered some Starlights SR & LR and some Kanger H-coils. Yes they all are different and I even find them different on different batteries. I have the original 2-900mah knockoffs and 2-Joytech 1000Mah. The Starlights will not draw on the 900's at all (no air), but work great on the Joytech ones. Kangers work on all a bit airier on the 900's. I'm planning on getting some Boge's to try at some point. At 5 to 10 dollars a go they all cost far less than a pack of analogs and last for ? (haven't killed one yet). IMHO you don't need to run out and get the biggest battery or ever cart ever made just try different products till you find one you like. When I smoked I didn't change brands of analogs for years. I found one I liked and that's what I used. When I order juice I just get something to try as the shipping is already paid and will probably keep doing that until I find just what I want. The eGo is a great base as you can try almost anything.

PS you may have noticed I didn't rate any of the ones that I've tried. This is because I don't believe that one person can give a subjective opinion on taste to another.

kato1234, no need to pop the tops off eGo tanks, just use a syringe and fill it through the feed hole. Take me about 2-3 seconds to fill mine (it actually takes longer to remove and replace the tank on the atty than it does to fill it).

Don't know about Canada, but here in the US I can get syringes from my drugstore for $0.25 each including needle.

I started out with an ego c kit, and very quickly learned that vaping was for me!

I had some minor leak issues with the C tanks. Most likely my fault, but I looked for a solution. I picked up a couple LR ego stardusts. I haven't looked back since! Although I did pick up a lava tube to start on the vv trail, my ego/stardust combo is my go to PV when at work or out and about!

If you can spare the $, I picked up 2 stardusts shipped for under 15. I'm still using them so not sure what life I will get out of them, but at 2 weeks now. I would recommend trying them out!
