Im a total noob so please be gentle..

I purchased a tornado tank from totally wicked and loved it the first couple weeks, which is how long it worked for me. I think the lil capes for the tank (I didnt know I had to replace and the T.W. is out of stock). So I did the best I could with the two that came with the kit. Which didnt work out well because it got to where the juice was just slowly coming out thru the middle (part where the battery and atomizer screw together). So I am guessing the atomizers were ruined because cant smoke!

So I begain researching and looking for reviews and lately have been talking with a very nice man at ecigsupply.. but I hate to continue to bother him trying to figure out what I am doing.

I saw a review about other people having probs with the tank system and that review mentioned they went to a LR atomizer and a drip tip. But the nice man says that Ego is compatible with the tornado but they dont have drip tip for the tornado but that 510 are compatible.

Is that saying that I could get a
510 atomizer and use with a drip tip and use with the tornado battery?
or am I stuck buying new tornado tanks / caps/ and atomizers to get the TT working again?

I would like to get something working again with these batterys that I have .. but also if more experienced Ecig users have suggestions on better system I would be interested in learning.

Thanks in advance for any help :2cool:

The Tornado is just a rebranded version of the eGo, so anything that's made for a 510 will work with what you have. You made a smart choice and you aren't stuck with anything! You could get some 510 atomizers and a drip tip so you can start dripping, which is what I do, or you can buy 510 cartomizers. A lot of people like the Boge cartos, but I get mine from IkenVape.

Hang in there susett, we all remember those early days of frustration. You will get there (probably make some mistakes and slide once in a while) but you will get there. There is a lot to learn and new technology coming along all the time so don't worry about us beating you up. We are here to help and advise and encourage... and we are very glad you are here!

depends where it's leaking from. sometimes people don't push the tanks in far enough which leaks. you might just be flooding the atty. take it off, blow the juice out from the battery end and try again. do you hear anything when the button is pushed? are you using darker colored juices?

I started with the tank setup myself but now am using boge lr cartos. the tank attys would last me 2 weeks to a month, a little longer with clear juices, before flavour drop. Into my 4th month and I have gone through about 8 attys, only one completely died (it was a lr atty). also be careful pulling out full tanks. have the mouthpiece facing down. thos caps come off and stick inside the atty, then juice pours everywhere if the battery is facing down

Pipeous, I have been using the Ego Tank for months now and never had a cap come off. I fill with a syringe and don't pull off the caps when filling. That may be the difference.

Another tip is that you have to pull the piercing plate out and clean the wick every couple of weeks. While that is out, you can see the coil. Do a hot water wash on the atty while the plate is out and then dry burn until you see a glow on the coil. Stop and lightly scrape the surface of the coil with a toothpick. That loosens crud buildup. Dry burn again and scrape the coil. Blow out the ash. Do this until you don't see smoke coming off the coil. Re-assemble and the atomizer is like new.

The Ego-t Tank forums will have some video of this process. Chances are you can restore most of them to useable condition. Once you do it once, it's an easy process that takes just several minutes.

Hi and Welcome, Like the others said, I use any stanadard 510 atty with my ego, and my reo, and my Provari and Ali'i, they are universal. You can use low resistance on the eGo 1.5 -2.0 ohms or standard 2.5 ohms, they all work well. You can get the drip tips from plenty of places like litecigsusa.net, avidvaper, cignot, puresmoker,Theecig.com, etc. Good luck.

The tornado is a great device for sure. I personally have the screwdriver with the tank atty setup and love it. it does take some getting used too, that's for sure. I have a ton of extra 510 or 901 attys I keep around in case there is a problem with the tankomizer (leaking, etc..) I would recommend picking up a couple 510 attys and a pack of cartridges so you can vape - if you have an issue like this.

Sounds to me that your Atty is flooded. I had the same problem when I first started. Blow the atty out from the battery end and try again and see what happens. I had that happen to me so often, I got some advice from someone on the TW forum that said he blew his out after every tank. So thats what i have been doing and I have since had no more problems. Good luck :)

I liked vaping so much that I managed to quit smoking with the Ego Tank system. That says something, because this system was not for me. After getting frustrated with burnt tasting attys and muted flavor, I got a LR 510 and threw it on my EgoT battery and I liked vaping so much more I've gotten a couple headaches in the past few days from nicotine overload.

I would ditch the tanks and get some drip tips and atomizers and do it that way. I ordered 3 echo-e cartomizers today, which is a new type of cartomizer. Although I've never used a cartomizer before, it looks like a good device for vaping on the go.

My goal is to stick with dripping on 510s and the cartomizers for a few months and then reward myself with a Reo Grand or Woodvil.

I kind of like starting out with the worst device (cheap two piece), getting something that wasn't a whole lot better (EgoT), and finally winding up with something great (Reo). Delayed gratification you could call it.

However I wish I'd known sooner that the Ego-T was not a good product, because I wasted a bit of money on new atomizers and tanks to find this out.

I would highly suggest getting a 2.0 ohm boge cartomizer. They have 510 connections that will work on any Ego type battery.. They work great. Many suppliers have them..

Wow the more I learn the more there is to learn ...
When I looked up found refillable Cartomizer by Boge 2.0 ohm

Think I was on madvapes.. the item says Dont use with voltage over 3.7 .. not with ego, 016 or reg 510 batteries but sadly it doesnt tell me what it can be used with. I see the egoT type battery that I have is 650mAH battery and so I sit here and say HUH! :?: lol

Sorry I do so appreciate all the help, everyone has been awesome. There is so much to learn and I am looking up all the items and numbers and probably confusing myself more (I tend to over analyze and make things harder than they are lol). Probably would help if I knew somethng about voltage and mAH lol. Thanks again

Hi Pipeous.. thanks for response:p
I must admit that at first I dont think i was pushing the tank in far enough. I dont think it totally punctured so it was really slow I thought that one tank would last forever lol.
There wasnt much vape and I kept goin to the you tube reviews and how tos and finally ah hah! Push it in til it snaps and actually punctures. Well then things got worse. The tank didnt appear to leak but when it was altogether you would get it leaking out the tank thru the atomizer and out the middle where the battery screws into the atomizer.

If you push the button with it held to your ear you do hear a little hissing sound. I am using clear juice but if I ever get things working again I have a few lil bottles of juice to test  couple look kinda pink and rocky road looks dark but havent tried any of these yet. Another odd thing.. I took the advice of several and blew out the atomizer from the battery end. and the atomizer had been sitting around un-used for a week or so. And at first I thought it was working again but sadly about 7 puffs and it dwindled down to nothing again .
