pronounce me brain dead!!!! After all the messages on this board, people at work talking about Veteren's Day, even to haveing a few vets in the family, it didn't dawn on me until last night at work that Thursday was Veteren's Day :blush:. What made it hit me? We got our paychecks last night. So what did I go do?? Blow almost $80 getting more e-liquid plus a new pt (my orginal died this week) and some other hardware. At least I can have an almost endless supply of syringes and needles since theres a farming store close by that sells 18g needles and any size of syringe I could ever want. I just feel funny buying them and them driving home with them on the seat next to me.

About the pt, I'm taking a plunge and going to try the Ego. Don't know what happened to the other one, it only works when it wants to. I'm figuring that with the Ego pt, it will be easier to vape w/o a cord attached when I'm busy playing Warcraft. I also got some soft-tipped cartos that I'm hoping will be easier to fill.

And speaking of the cartos-- curious if this will work. I'm thinking of grabbing a board and drilling holes in it the size of the cartos so I have them standing up easier when I fill them, plus a way to store them until I need them. Has anyone done this? I'm going to look a site when I hit the hardware store looking for a drill that's slightly bigger than a carto. I still have the orginal attys and carts, thinking of using them as a way to try the flavors out that I ordered. But was wondering, with the VG and water mix that I mixed up-- is that a way to change the flavor of the atty w/o going nuts cleaning it? I'm scared to clean the only working atty I have at the moment. I'm also going to use this time to play around with one cart mod I found and see if that will work any better, at least for home use. The one that I want to try is the straw as a filler method.

Sorry for the long winded post. Sometimes I get excited over the littlest things. And I really feel like an idiot right now for not making the connections that I should have made.

Hello Kythcat,

Last weekend I did exactly what you are suggesting. I took a piece of hardwood I had laying around and drilled a bunch of 3/8 holes in it. Cartridges and cartomizers fit in it perfectly!. I used a 3/8 " forstner bit, which drills a hole with a flat bottom, but that isn't really important if you dont have a forstner. I had done some deck work a few years back; we re-surfaced the deck with a wood called ipe. Ipe is a very hard exotic. It is the second most dense wood there is and therefore very, very hard. You could easily use a piece of pine 2x4, but watch the splinters. DON"T USE PRESSURE TREATED - those chemicals are toxic.

I fill the carts at night and leave the in the board - allows the juice to settle by morning and they are really convenient! Good luck with yours!

Am planning to buy some ammo cases to store my carts and atomizers and other stuff when I manage to get to a sporting goods store. I figure that might work pretty well for storage? Plus they have lids so the cat can't get into it. Don't know how well they would work for the filling process though...

That's what I was wondering. And you even answered my next question-- what size hole/bit will I need.

Now another question on the cartos. The ones I ordered are all going to be empty so I would like to know how much would I need to "fill" them? I ordered the strongest I could get, and have some VG on hand if they turn out too strong. Or has anyone actually measured how much they are putting in? I'm trying to get this all set up before they arrive so I can just fill and go.
