I just ordered 9 boxes of 'Kant' flavored cartos from V4L. Their carto's are usually about 10 bucks for a five pack. These were marked down to $6.50. Then they had a 30% off sale on top of it so I got 'em for like $4 and change. Good deal right? WRONG. These things are so NASTY. They taste like a mixture of burning motor oil and burning plastic. They taste nothing like the ones I've purchased from them before.

I have a feeling I'm gonna be stuck with these, so is there a way I can totally clean them out so I can use them as blanks? I have plenty of juice, and that's not a bad price for blanks.

I'm still pretty much a noob, so I don't have any tools. I don't have any syringes or anything like that. Can they be cleaned with normal household stuff lying around, or do I have to buy something...? Please help! These are SO NASTY!!!!!

I usually clean out my old carto's by boiling them for 5 minutes, rinsing in cool water, then boiling again with fresh water, them blow them out and let them dry. With my new CE2's I just pop out the seals with a big paper clip and wash them in warm/hot water then soak and dry off.

Some folks will let theirs soak overnight in some alcohol, like vodka or everclear to clean the residual taste out.

You don't need a lot of fancy gadgets to get your carts clean :) Just a little inventiveness.

I can't find the thread I learned how to do this from,so I will have to type it all out. I take no credit for this method, but it does work very very well
1. Take the cap off the carto, and the clear ring if there is one
2. Hold the carto, battery connection side down, under warm running water until you see it coming out the battery end
3. Blow it out, from the mouth end until you don't see or feel water coming out anymore.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3,3 more times.
5. Refill with better tasting juice and vape away

Excellent information folks! Thank you all so much. I knew I could count on the good people on the ECF! With the info you kind folks have provided, I was able to clean out one of these nasty things and fill it with my 'Kamel WoW' juice. It's working great! Nasty taste is completely gone. Thank you all so much for the info! ECF RULES! I love this place!!!

So my wife had a turkey baster in the kitchen, I thought I'd try out the 'forced water' method instead of just running water through them out of the sink. I took one of the caps that comes with the cartos, cut a hole in the closed end, and put it just on the end of the turkey baster. Then I taped it in place real good with black electrical tape. Now I can just pop the little white cap out of the carto, and slip the carto into the 'condom' cap taped to the turkey baster, and presto! It worked really well, much better than the running water method. I was able to do several in a short time. I may not have gotten the pre-filled's I wanted, but at least now I have a ton of new blanks(when I'm done cleaning 'em out).

Thanks again for all of your help folks!

My brother in law just got a pack of the sale Kant's and had the same complaint. Must be a bad batch.

Yeah... I think that's gotta be the reason they're on sale. Pretty shady business dealings I must say... I really like V4L but now I'm having my doubts.
I had serious battery problems with my kit I got from them. They sent me numerous replacements and they were all bad. They finally sent me some good ones. Then I noticed a 'battery clearance sale' on their site. I hope they're not unloading those bad batteries. That would be pretty shady too.
They seem really nice and the customer support is awesome, but if they are putting things on sale because there's a problem with it, they should really tell their customers what they are ordering. I really like those guys, it would be a shame to learn they were purposefully doing this. It would break my heart. But as always, I must give the benefit of the doubt... it may not be the case.

Imagine ordering NINE packs of these things though. I'm not very happy about this. I'm thinking about switching companies. I'll wait and see how they respond to my complaint, especially since now I know I'm not the only one that thinks these taste like _________ (<---add explanative here)!

Ok so now my faith in V4L is restored, they made it right with me. Since I ordered NINE boxes of these nasty things, they set me up with a $30 store credit. Since the total I spent for all of those nasty cartos was about $45 because of the double sale, this basically means those nasty cartos ended up costing me $15. And since I can use them as blanks(after the tedious task of cleaning them all out), that is more than fair. I gotta say V4L came through for me again. However, I will be more careful when it comes to future sale items from ANY vendor.
