Can anyone tell me what brand of e-cig this is? I realllllly need to quit so I was browsing for a very inexpensive e-cig. This is what I came across, but I'm a broke college student so I really don't want to invest the money without doing a little bit of research first to know if it's worth it or not. Thanks for any help you can give!

Its a cheap china cig-a-like. (Looks like a cigarette).
If your just going to try it out, test with a cheapie. BUT if you plan on really quitting that wont last you very long. Keep reading and researching. You can get a fairly inexpensive ego kit for a little more that will last you alot longer, and will work a whole lot better then that^.
I dont recommend products cause it is up to each individual what is best for them..

(addition:)
Unfortunately the majority of people that start out trying to quit with e-cigs usually go thru a few devices before they find the "right one".
Some people (Like myself) just never quit looking for something better. It becomes an addiction in itself :vapor:

E-Cig kits like that are also sold with a number of so called free trials to be aware of that suffer from overpricing and poor quality. I looked a few disposables that suddenly became available locally at gas stations before looking for brands online having run into one of those "keep you hooked on refills" gimics(almost scam as some would call it) I canceled out of since they wanted to charge monthly for too many prefilled cartridges of one of two limited flavors.

Now once I got into a regular brand that offers refillable cartimizers, clearomizers as well as their own filled I could then try out anyone's eliquids as well as start evaluating which hardwares would suit the purpose the best which each will find out on their own over time. My total expense on hardwares might also seem high until you realize how low cost it will prove to be since I expanded the collection of starter kits with various batteries and battery sizes ranging from 400mah upto a Vision Spinner 1300mah variable voltage as well as a Smok Tek Vamo being another variable with wattage as well as voltage settings there plus tanks that hold 3.5ml of eliquid if not more once I try out a few more tanks that is.

Note out of the $2,000 plus spend over the last year starter kits handed out to others for gifts over the holidays and birthdays have to be deducted as well as buying two or more of each battery size and for some about 20-30 of same. I stocked up on things including several carrying cases each size case depending on what went in and still finding I need more now preferred pen style eGo CE 4, 5 giantomizers that seem to vape smoother then anything. I now have almost 50 flavors lined up and a clearomizer for each it seemed until lately when I found I still need plenty more!

Now that can only show you will find yourself looking for more typically when first starting off with the small analog sized look alikes until you get accustomed to vaping itself. As for that particular brand they still are in business at Electronic Cigarette Wholesale USA, Electronic Cigarettes Accessories Stores

The look of the carrying cig style case has changed a bit as you would expect to see when looking at almost the same identical thing seen at New Advanced E-Health Cigarette Pack (As low as $9.97 each!)

I'm trying to pm you, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to. Maybe it has something to do with my post count being so low since I just joined tonight? I don't know.. Is there any way I can get ahold of you?

You need to have 5 posts before you can send/receive private messages.

Thanks! You mentioned the e-cigs that popped up in gas stations.. I've tried the generic njoys and really liked them.. I'm sure all of the experts here are laughing at me because I know you all probably have the super expensive nice ones.. But I want something that is rechargeable and a little more permanent.. and being a broke college student I just need something simple to start out on and see if it's a viable option for leading me away from true tobacco.

I know you are probably imagining using what we call a cigalike (cigarette-size battery), but to be brutally honest most people ditch those early on because the battery life sucks. 3 - 4 hours tops. To last all day you'll need at least four batteries in addition to a charger, flavor cartidges, and juice. That'll add up fast. They might get you off of cigarettes, but you'll be wanting MORE before you know it. Why waste your money on the novice stuff since you are already on a poor college student budget?

The wiser thing would be to get something like the iTaste MVP. These are extremely popular among novices and advanced vapors alike. A little box mod that has a powerful built-in rechargeable battery that can last up to 3 days on a charge. You can also use it while it re-charges. It has variable voltage function to adjust the temperature of the vapor to your satisfaction or to each flavor you have.

Doesn't look like something from a head shop or a woman's sex toy like a lot of mods do, but more like a remote control or smart phone. Small enough to fit in a pocket. Kit comes with charging cord, which also allows you to charge your cell phone or iPod with your MVP. In addition, the kit comes with either one or two iClear clearomizer juice tanks for your e-liquid. $50 for the kit. Innokin MVP iTaste Kit - AltSmoke

I highly recommend you dig deeper...everyone starts on the cigalikes...and like Baditude said above...eventually people work their way to the workhorses...I highly recommend you head over to the library and read the stickies 6 part intro to personal vapers and e-cigs...much much much improvement over the cigalikes

ECF has an amazing amount of 2 things. Good people and good advice. :thumb:
You've got both right here in this thread. While I'm sure at some point (if all goes well it'll be very soon) your going to need and want a better device (as baditude states above) but you don't need to buy an F16 to learn how to fly - just get your feet off the ground however you can. I'm sure when you tried smoking you didn't rush out and buy a carton - you got your first cigarette from a friend. So my friend all I ask is that you give vaping a fair chance (keep in mind there's better set ups out there but at least you'll know for sure it CAN work for you) and when the time comes for you to upgrade just "pay it forward" to another friend to help them get started.
Good luck I really hope vaping works for you :) and please be sure to keep us posted on your progress. We're here to help :)

Codywilis34,

How much you "spend" depends on how much you are currently spending on tobacco cigarettes. If you are smoking 1 pack a day, it most likely is costing you $150.00 per month on regular cigarettes. For that amount of money, you can get a very nice setup.

A lot of us started with https://smokelessimage.com/ Check it out before you finally decide. Their spinners are a good starting point rather than a "kit", but do a lot of reading and understand the product before purchase. Keep in mind that their products use an 808 threading and are not compatible with a lot of the other 510 threaded devices, however they have excellent customer service, and their products are first rate.

Best Wishes

You're welcome! Each will end up having their own preferences over time. The mention of starting with ecigs having analog size batteries is often how most will get started until getting familiar with yes more permanent solutions as far as batteries that will last all day and cartimizers, clearomizers, tanks, and even pen style giantomizers which lately I have been finding seem to vape the smoothest of the lot I have been trying out for a full year now.

Ordered separately I may pay about $7 on average for a pen where the tank/atomizer inside is replaceable allowing you to rebuild as well as try out different flavors by various vendors as you go along until the eliquids that suit your own preferences there. The standard 410 threading allows you to try a wider range of hardwares including larger and even smaller mini and designer type batteries. I carry a pen ot two with pen clips on the caps with the small 400-450mah batteries or carry a case with 1100 or 1300 even a few mods that take the 18350 and 18650 type batteries that will run all day and still some.

The better set ups will include selecting flavors that won't bite your throat as many eliquids tend to do as well as how good the hardwares are. Some of the cig size kits actually cost more overall then shopping for individual items as you go along and even finding vendor discounts on items. The best batteries most often seen in use will have "eGo" or "K eGo" in the name and range from 400-1300mah in sizes. Some are C type set at one voltage while others will have a twist ring at the bottom to bring the voltage up. A Smok Tek Vamo taking either a 18350(800-1200mah depending on brand of batteyr) or with extender a 18650 2250mah battery will also see the wattage brought up.

Note before getting into variables however you will want to refer to vaping charts that show what is the safe maximum for each clearomizer, tank, etc. according to the resistance value so you don't burn something out. That's one thing even the experienced vaporer has to keep in mind. Here's a Bing search link showing images of several charts. safe vaping power chart - Bing Images

For a look at different styles I found one vendor with a lot of photos while you still may prefer to order elsewhere you can see the eGo batteries as well as tanks, pen style clearomizers, etc. and then price shop around according to your budget. Vapor USA Wholesale

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Honestly, I couldn't even get serious about trying to quit until I got my Vision Spinner battery and the stuff that came with it. Of course, now that I AM serious I've gone nuts in getting nice stuff to improve the whole rig PLUS getting a duplicate battery (for just in case...lol) and yet ANOTHER Protank 2 because I love my first one and it's pyrex and doesn't leak, and fancy drip tips, and......

AUGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

*ahem*
*cough*

Still, for around 40 bucks or so (about the cost of a carton of cigarettes) - maybe less - you can invest in something that will motivate you even further and thus save you money later on. I don't know that cig-alikes work for all that many people. They sure didn't for me.

My initial eGo system, though....now THAT got me excited! :D

Think of how much you spend on actual cigarettes and in what period of time. That should tell you whether the investment is worth it or not.

I WOULD, however, recommend getting the longest lasting battery you can afford, though. I bought a 1300 mAh right out of the gate and it lasts me a whole day. 13 hours of battery life is an awesome thing.
