I keep a Vision Spinner 1300mah here right on my computer desk along with other larger batteries each having either a Vision clearomizer or J-Sax sitting on each for a variety of flavors! Besides my own growing collection I have also bought starter kits for others looking to cut down or so they say quit entirely. Try about $2,000+ total for everything in order to do the research not just find only what I would like.

Now as far as buying a carton of analogs I don't where you only pay $40 since the state tax here now sees one priced at close to $100! They were averaging about $83 except for discounted prices at wholesale club stores until a new law states pharmacies or stores with pharmacies can no longer carry any tobacco products which unfortunately would include e-cigs due to nicotin content. As we know most prefilled as well as eliquids sold separately offer the "none" option as well as different levels.

I can pay around $40 at the reservation here in Arizona and probably around $50 in a retail store. More if you're getting a more premium brand.

Still, you don't have anything to show for it when you buy cigarettes. You burn through them and they're garbage and ash. When you buy a vaporizer, though, you still have the rig which you can either keep or sell to someone else if you decide to quit everything entirely.

The prices are comparable, though, AND a LOT of people end up quitting the tobacco after trying a decent setup.

i did a lot of research before I made the plunge! but as others have stated in this forum, no matter what you start with once you are hooked, there is always something new to try! I started with the cig-a-likes (510 tanks) then changed to BCC (CE3's) I now have an eGo VV (2 actually) a twist and a digital with Kanger Pro tanks (full size and mini) love em but........looking for a vw mod! with all of the choices in coil omhs a vw (variable wattage) device seems to be a good choice. a buddy of mine just got a provari and has been trying to talk me into one but they do not make a vw device (yet? hope they do) but look at how much you have been spending on the analogs and apply that towards vaping! start basic (there are a lot of good kits out there that have everything that you need to get started)

VAPE-ON!!!!!!

You both got it right! And it isn't only the retail costs that have a say in all this but the health costs as well. Besides no longer smelling afoul of an ash tray you tremendously reduce any pptential health risks especially lung cancer being the most commonly attributed disease! The most I've seen in all this time from vaping is simply the dry mouth dry throat sensation while vaping a good menthol also manages things like hay fever or other environment allergy symptoms where most would either get antihistimine prescriptions or over the counter pharmaseticals.

In fact one of the main reasons I had kept lighting up menthols since the 70s was the menthol effect with the rest being a nasty habit to break! Once I came across a great menthol eliquid PROBLEM SOLVED! No more menthol tobacco required for that reason! And no need to buy antihistimine this or that either. No tobacco and no chemicals of any type! :D

There is one thing I will tend to caution people about however is those trying to take advantage of others by gimicing things such as free trial where once you give out your credit info they want to keep you hooked paying for prefilled cartridges. Lately one blog was seen here I was hoping to comment on about having run into one of these as well and was able to cancel out while they lept trying to keep me going by stating they would cut the next refill in half pricewsie! NO THANKS!

By the time I had seen them automatically charge my card for a two 5 pack refill at $80! no less I was only on the second prefill and had decided it wasn't going to work out. The menthol flavor was of a lesser quality and their prices for things like small batteries was 3-4 times higher then most vendors who tend to do things the right way! Most will soon enough outgrow the cig size and prefils fast anyways and will find that getting into eGo and other 510 threaded batteries with tanks unless the smaller is higher quality as seen with some brands simply move on.

Not everyone will want to crank up the volts and watts however since often the higher resistance clearomizers, or whateever as well as the default voltage on the variable will agree with them more since the flavor isn;t lost. That's one area where many will want to crank it up to get the most vapor while others want flavor first depending on preferences as well as which particular e-liquid(s) they have.

I just know that when one has a better system than those crap jobbies, one is FAR more likely to maintain staying away from cigarettes and isn't THAT worth the small initial investment?

I figure for breaking a habit that is this hard to kick, we should give ourselves every advantage as we possibly can to make it easier on us so we don't give up.

State of mind and Determination are keys to reaching any goal including breaking a very resilient habit! People fall into patterns all too easily and why smoking is one of the worst habits due to how strong the hold can be! It's simply too easy for almost anyone to slip backwards into this one!

Being confident in the particular combination or combinations of hardwares, eliquids can be the maker or breaker after first getting started. Most will soon find things they like while others may be finding themselves sort of put on a waiting list in a sense. For those on a tight budget being cautious at first is understandable since they don't want to end up spending too much on what they will find won't work.

I can give you a good example of how that can be seen. When first getting others started I then decided to pick up a Smok Tek Vamo and a few tanks. But I still needed to find more then a couple of flavors I could turn up and still see results finding which ones wouldn't give you a bite in throat or throat hit as well as which ones retained flavor. The starter kits bought as gifts for others seemed to be working out well until having them each try a larger battery provided by the same brand.

None gave it more then a quick try and then refused to listen to the technique I explained found to work. In fact once I got accustomed to the larger battery and moved on to eGo batteries in various sizes as well as refillable clearomizers, tanks, giantomizers(pen style with pocket clip caps on clearomizer) I found that the cig size was only good for a quick grab from the night stand! Tanks and giantomizers would now only work for a few flavors I vape the most while still trying different CE 4 and CE 5 sine the CE 2s I first tried in that catagory were discontinued. :mail:
(I suppose a place like EBay may still see some)

All this took time however. And of course this was a result of trying out a larger variety from the start to make a collection and discover from that point over simply buying one thing only. But I spemt more then necessary due to researching the whats and what nots as far as being able to advise close friends as well as others. One thing is certain however and that is no one starts off as an expert!
