Some times it's way better for the wallet to get a good set up right away ( experience yet again)

I got screws up the ouchie (back door) with an e-health kit, paid $50 for it, a 1 battery kit. Then I was stupid enough to pay $25 for a box of 8 cartridges. No KY Jelly or anything

In all honesty though, I cut my analogs in half with that first experience. It was the first I'd ever heard of e-cigs. Which it turn got me to do an internet search, and eventually lead me here.

So all in all, after 35 years of smoking, and resigning myself to the fact that I could/would never quit, I did. Today is SIX WEEKS of vaping and no smoking.

 just saw the thread on the 4 stages for newbies..... Tried a friends crappy e health last week, and am up to stage 3 and bordering on stage 4 before even buying anything.... This does not bode well for my wallet

Good story and explanation for the OP. Lots of us bought things in the beginning that ended up being a test. Thats exactly why I suggest a nice vv pv. When your new its hard to justify spending that kind of money up front but mark my words you will just fail, or be out even more money in the end (examples of that are all over ecf). Both of witch are unnecessary added stress while quitting a habit that gave me the most stress of my life. Just to speak from my own experience. I had a relapse. I just refused to except defeat due to my own ignorance, and the money I already had tied up in less then worthy products. Get your foundation first, then if u want to collect ecigs thats an option. Put your goal of quitting before the idea that you have to try something cause its cheaper. Will only make it harder to quit if you dont. The first 3 weeks are a BI. Your kicking 1999 other chemicals and you will have withdraw no matter what ecig u have. I could quit a million times with my Provari. Too bad I didn't buy it first.

.

Sage advice, wish I had seen that when I first started :). I'm a newbie too, and due to inadequate research, am going to be on my 3rd PV. My biggest blunder was dropping over $100 on a V4L Titan starter kit. Still kicking myself for that.

IMO, You'll end up saving money by starting with the bigger battery model that you are getting. The small ones are a pain due to the constant need to charge the batts. The stardust will also get you off on the right foot by not having to mess around with the hard to use cartos.

I'm still very new myself but I can still offer two more pointers. There will be an adjustment period! I smoked 1 1/2 to 2 packs a day and it was a very hard adjustment for the first few weeks. Don't freak out! Don't think that means you need to buy everything in sight, just stick with it. Be prepared for possible lost of taste for a while here and there. Mine lasted quite a while but most people report a week or two. Again, don't freak out and buy all kinds of equipment. Even though I've been a bit of a pain in the .... newbie I'm quite happy now with the setup you are buying (except my batts are KGO but same thing).

Well orders have been placed and now it's time to wait.... *drums nails*

Went with the riva 1100mah, some stardusts for on the go, and some boge lr cartos, 510 bridgeless lr atomizers and drip tips for at home and sampling and juice from several suppliers... Idk why but I feel like I forgot something though...

I was about to tell you that I've given up on making suggestions to newbies. There are as many opinions here as there are you-know-whats. The only thing I was going to suggest is not to make the same newbie mistake that 99% of us make and that 95% of us wish we hadn't. That is, an e-cig that looks like an analog, with a LED on the end, and an automatic battery.

I'm glad to see you got the Riva. If you like it in a few months when the battery wears out, you can get an E-Power to replace it. You can still use your Riva attachments, but you'll be able to use standard batteries so they'll always be fresh.

Looking at your list, it looks like you got everything you need, assuming you got a kit that included a charger. Don't forget the charger!! Also, I hope you got enough cartos. LR cartos burn out faster than SR ones, and you don't want to run out. Can't ever have too many cartos or attys.

You did order some juice from somewhere, right? :p

You're starting with a great set up. Nice to see your not wasting your $$$ on the small kits.

Make sure you let us know what you think of it when it comes in.
