I am using these for the 1st time today. seem to work pretty well. for some unknown reason, those tank carts would not work for me

Black Pump Cartridges

Hiya, sln88. :)

Whoa, never seen those before. You must use auto batts, otherwise, you'd have to press 2 buttons.

Drop by this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/standard-e-cigarette-reviews/217863-i-like-new-jessy-see-through-cartriidges.html and tell us what's wrong with the clear/tank carts and about your new find. :)

If a carto is an atty and cart combined then why do they not last as long as atty's?

Yes, carto = atty + cart. But standalone attys are supposed to be sturdier. Cartos are meant to be disposable. Pending usage, some standalones die in a week and some cartos can last months with good maintenance, so not always the case. I get at least a month out of an atty, which are consumables too. :)

hey!- no, I use a manual. You only have to press the button on the cart once in awhile. been using it a day so far. no leaks or flooding yet. I will drop by that thread. I just have not have time to mess with the Jessys to see if I can figure them out

I've been trying that but don't see any difference. I just put a new cart in and it already melted. Maybe I'm vaping too frequently or these carts are crap. I dunno, this is just my starter kit. I'm gonna try options over time but there is a lot of stuff to absorb. I am going to try all the suggestions given by you guys pretty soon. Looks like I need to order a bunch of stuff.

I don't know why but I only get the big hits off this thing after I put two drops on the bridge.

Yep, Hex, you won't get any bigger vape than dripping. I go through 6 mls of juice each day. That's a lot, but no melting. With your 510, you should be able to feel the atty with your fingers. Mine never get hot enough to burn my fingers. I also blow on it to air cool out of habit. If the atty feels burning, then something's not right. Have you ever cleaned them?

JustaGuy, never cleaned because they are still new. I've only been doing this for a couple days. In fact, this will be my first day I'm cig free in over 25 years. Man, it's hard... I drained two batts already. Vapin' like a fiend. Think I need to leave them on the charger longer than 90 mins.

My girlfriend will be happy if I can quit cigs. When I show her my e-cig she is gonna give me a treat.

You guys rule, thanks for helping me out.

Is it having issues out of the box, or is this from use? What are you vaping on? I have been using an ego and notice extreme performance drop offs after an hour or two to where my atties feel like they are flooded, but I believe it is the battery on the EgoT. If my SB ever comes back, cant wait to try this. Do a google search and you will find numerous cleaning methods. i usually throw them into cheap vodka for a day or two then take them out and leave them for a day or two, and most of the time that does the trick. If that does not work I debridge and dewick them.

From usage I guess? I dunno, I was getting huge hits for HOURS last night and today it's performing bleh. I've been swapping out this part and that and couldn't keep track of what is what so I just put some tape around my parts.

Maybe I'll just order some cartos tonight. I don't know WHY but my rig was working SO good last night. Better than it has since I got it. I don't know what I did right to make it work so good. Sorry, I'm frustrated...

It also helps to blow through the atty every so often to remove gunk and juice. Before I go to bed I do this and put the atty upside down. Use a napkin or paper towel and just blow through it. This might be all you need. You are using atties and carts right? If so, also try putting a couple drops of liquid on the atomizer and make sure your cart looks slushy. Also, have you charged the battery since then?

A battery! Dont forget to blow it out first to get machine oil out of there. Attach to battery. Drop 3-4 drops into the atomizer. Wait 30 seconds, put 2-3 more drops in, put drip tip on and vape away. When you get a reduction in cloud vapor and or reduced flavor or a burnt taste, put 2-3 more drops onto the attie. This varries per person, but it will be somewhere between 5- 20 puffs. Dont forget a paper towel as this will be messy till you get used to doing it. If you try pulling and it feels sluggish or it gurgles, then you probably flooded it. Take off the atomizer and blow it out and start over again.

Most of all have fun!!!

I drip using a riva 510. If I put more than 2 drops in I get flooding (liquid on my fingers when I go to push the button)! just an fyi. I haven't been dripping long and only do it when I am on the computer

LR cartomizers are not meant for slim batteries. They are meant for batteries 450mah+ because those batteries have stronger electronics that are designed to deal with higher current flow. And extreme LR like 1.5ohm some say should only be used on mods and has the potential to damage even the big mass-produced models like Ego.

Re VG - ok for atomizer, sucks bad in most cartomizers IMO. I won't use more than 20% VG in slim ecig cartos.

And just so anyone else reading the thread understands - Joye 510 is a slim 180mah model. Riva 510 is a big battery model 650mah+

---

Flooding - blow out the atty and clean it up. And if you are using 100% PG juice try some PG/VG juices which will be a bit thicker.
