I've only been vaping for about a month, completely off analogs after 30+ years of smoking a pack and a half. I thought buying a standard e-cig would help me transition from analogs, and they have, but they're such a pain! Constantly changing batteries, filling cartos, etc. What's the next step? Any recommendations on brands/setups for a fairly new vaper? Where do I go from here?

I would look for something like this: http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

You'll get longer battery life (depending on the mAh of the battery you select), probably a better vape with a quality clearomizer like the Kanger EVOD, and you'll be able to adjust the voltage output by the battery allowing you to customize your vapor flavor and throat hit.

There are many different starter kits out there, and at better prices, but that kit has everything a new vaper needs for a quality vape.

By the way, congrats on quitting cigs and welcome!

I'd recommend something a step up from the standard one that you're using. higher mah battery will help with having to recharge the battery so often. If you think you could use a mod (larger device) without straying back to analogs, then that would help even more. Like the previous poster the Vamo is a good set up and is modular for different size batteries that can be used. Also has various functions for variable voltage, and variable wattage.

What's your current setup? Does the size of the battery matter? Do want super simple or is a bit of learning curve ok? What's your budget?

I agree with 94eghatch. Move to an Ego Twist. You can vary the voltage to get a better vape and more flavor. If you want something a little fancier and even more battery life, try the Innokin iTaste VV. Just a bit more $, but worth it.

Then I'd recommend the Protank Mini. Super easy to refill. Atomizers last a while and are cheap & easy to replace. Glass tank, so no tank cracking juice issues. BTW: supposedly the Protank Mini II will release soon. Main difference is a changeable tip.

Good luck!!! Keep vaping!!!

I am currently using a Vision Variable Voltage mod that is quite nice, but also quite huge. The batteries I got for it are 2000 mah, so they last forever. I have gotten pretty used to the weight, but it is a big, clumsy looking thing. If you don't mind the additional size and weight, mods are where a lot of vapers wind up. I started with V4L's Titan Kit. I don't care about the size of the battery -- battery life is much more important at this point. A learning curve works for me and budget is not an issue. Thanks!

I'd say based on those parameters, look at the Provari (my personal favorite), SID, Zmax Telescope V3, Vamo V3, and maybe the MVP. Check out Pbusardo's Youtube channel and watch his reviews. He'll give you good insight on what is good and bad about each unit. By the end you should have an idea of what will work for you.

For on top of the mod I'd look at carto tanks (see Baditude's blogs for lots of great info) and maybe the Kanger Protank or Vapeonly BCC. Personally I don't like plain cartos. But, I find carto tanks have the best flavor, TH, and vapor production for a relatively hassle free on the go type of device. But, they do have a learning curve. Not bad, but it's there.

A couple of Twists, Spinners, or Winders would be good to have as backups. Toss on an Evod and you have a great sleek looking unit.

And always remember... Back ups for your Backups. I always carry my Provari w/extra batteries, a Twist, a standard eGo with a T3, and 3 carto tanks. Everything but the Provari fits in a large eGo case.

Hope this helps your search some.
