I am so, so frustrated. I have gone thru about 4 or so automatic 801 PTs (lasted a few days, some 1 of them only 1 day) and decided to go with the manual P/T's instead. All from different sources.
Well, they also die after 1 day, 1.5 days or same day.

Got them, used the first one for 2 days, it died!

I had even bought the Kensington Battery Pack for the USB just to see if it makes a difference....it does not keep them from dying either.....

So I started with the second one. That one only lasted only a few hours.

I do not abused them, drip the, use new atomizers, clean carts etc. Nothing work. I sent e-mail to vendor in China, who sent out 2 replacements. They took a while to get here of course.

Finally got 2 ea 801 Manual USB P/T replacements on 6/20/09. Used it all day today with Kensington Battery Pack and the 1st replacement just died, doing EXACTLY what the first 2 did.

They all worked great one minute and not the next.

When I plug it (same on all the other broken ones) in now the LED blinks 2 times and then stays on steady for a few seconds without pushing the button, LED blinks twice again and then the LED goes off.

When pushing the button the light will not come back on even after the second double blink and it will not vape or heat up, when I push the button. I also tried (just to make sure) different USB outlets, but it still will not work.

It does heat the atomizer while light is steadybut once it blinks 2x again nothing happens when I push the button.

The only way to vape with them now is to unplug, plug back in, catch the short time period the light is on steady, vape real quick, and to keep plugging and unplugging!

This makes 3 of them now with the exact way of dying and same darn symptoms.

I am so upset over this that I ordered a Puresmoker P/T and Adapter (though I really did not have the money left over) but the PS P/Ts will not ship for a while longer.

Any help or ideas out there on what to do to make them work? Btw, there is no liquid in the P/T part.

I forgot to mention that I use(ed) PG based juices from different vendors (Menthol)

Thanks
Karen

Either quality control on these devices is non-existant or you have about the worst luck with passthroughs (PT). In short, without being able to test them, there is not much you can do with these PTs unless you want to modify them. I recently took delivery of two non-functioning PTs from a forum member. I tested them and both worked fine. This may be user error or the PTs may indeed be defective.

I do not like any PT from a factory, and I gutted and reworked two perfectly functioning PTs to my specifications. What are my specifications? Manual button, no LEDs, no circuit boards, sealed from atomizer and a beefier USB cable. This is not something the average user will do.
