Hello fellow vapers. I have some funds for a new mod and I've basically narrowed it down to hcigar VT200 and SX Mini ML simply because both does SS TC. The VT200 is sold for USD 138 and SX Mini ML for USD 208 at B&Ms where I live. Look wise, I prefer the SX Mini. But pricewise I'm sure the VT200 is capable of a lot more than the SX Mini. Power wise both suits my needs as I rarely go beyond 50W even on RTAs. The dna with escribe seems like a more future proof feature and seemed like a more cleaner approach to customization compared to Yihi's SXQi. Is there anything else that I'm missing when comparing the two? I'm quite torn between both options. Please help me decide. Thanks!

I will say this. I own a M class, ML class, and a DNA 200. Got the M class about a year ago. No issues for me not even the paint. Got the ML class when it was released. Again, no issues what so ever. Got my DNA 200 a week and a 1/2 ago. Already had to repair it. In my opinion, Yihi has a far more superior track record than Evolv. Sorry if that ruffles any feathers. I'm just speaking from my experience.

Thanks for sharing your experience. My only experience with TC is with the VTC Mini and while that mod has performed admirably (I didn't suffer from the anemic vape some people here have experienced), the damn 510 center pin got itself stuck on me. My KF V2 no longer makes contact with the center pin anymore. If I were asked to choose between a feature rich mod to a mod that is reliable, I'll always choose the latter.

Yihi has recently released software to support the ML class. I have it downloaded but haven't messed with it yet.

Decisions.....Decisions.......

I've used a DNA200 device (actually 2 of them) since July without issue. I've researched the ML and looked at the software to see if it would fit in my stable. Decided against it.

What matters is which one you like and which one meets your needs and factoring in the price, warranty, customer service and etc.

Get the one you want and enjoy it.

I wouldn't even consider the DNA200 with the new yihi SXmini ML out... the new chip and it's software is pretty amazing. It's temp control is out to four digits and from what I've seen so far... this is the state of the art in temp control right now. Also the ML fit, finish, and build quality is second to none. I've got the blue one and it feels so amazingly solid in the hand.... there isn't a more well built tc mod available from anyone... even in the US. I gotta say props to yihi for everything except the chinglish on the website and docs sometimes... I suppose as long as they keep making products like this I can overlook the occasional misspelled word lol!

Truth to be told, I was leaning towards the SX Mini ML because it looks damn sexy. The M class was a looker for sure but the Yihi sure out did themselves with the ML styling. Gearbest on the other hand has the VT200 for USD 120 for their Christmas Sale now. It's hard to ignore a nicely designed (although not as pretty as the ML) DNA200 mod at such a good price. I'm going to sit over it make my move before the Christmas sale ends. Either way I think both mods are the best mass produced mods that money can buy.

Last I checked Ecig.com had the VT200 for $126 shipped. It's in the USA (not sure if you are as well). They had a coupon code (ILOVEYOU) that brought it down to $120. Really good deal imo. I have one and have had no problems with it. I really like it by the way. I would expect you would see more problems reported with the DNA200 chip for the simple reason there are a lot more in use. Some companies do a better job implementing the DNA200 chip than others so it's hard to tell if the problems one reads are all chip related or the mod it was put into. Either way, I'm sure you will be happy with whatever you choose, both are top of the line chips.

Cheers,
Steve

I've built mod with both boards. I like the sx350j, no experience with the v.2 yet tho and I really enjoyed the vape I'd get from them. But dealing with Yihi customer service is a nightmare. I've used 3 dna200 boards and had 2 issues with them, one was my fault the other was defect during manufacturing. Evolv replaced both boards even the one I ruined. I Ike the dna200 vape but found the temp control of the sx350j more satisfying. I dunno why
