Help me choose.

Hi every one. I was recently pif'd a reo mini 14500. It's a cute little thing.
but my batteries last me maybe 2 hours at most.

I'm vaping heavy. I started over a year ago and for the last week i have been cigarette free.
So.....
I decided i need another reo. something that will last longer.

I plan on using hh.357 atties. this is what i'm using on the mini i have.
I was hoping for feed back on battery life.

what is the difference in battery life the mini and the grand.
how much bigger is the grand over the mini?

the mini i have now is a perfect size and i worry it will be harder to hold the grand.
could some one maybe post some pics of it in their hands pressing the firing button?

please any feed back. i'm ready to purchase as soon as i figure out which one i want.

If you want the smaller size, go with the Reo Mini 2.1. The 18490 it takes will last you quite a bit longer than a 14500. However...the Reo Grand is not as big as you think it is. It's about the size of a regular pack of smokes and the battery life will get you through a good part of your day.

Yes, the mini 2.1 is not much larger than the unit you have now and the larger 18490 batteries would last much longer. AW makes a good IMR bat with 1200 mah, and with an atty like the hh.357, it should last you a good while (you're prolly in the range of 650 mah with the 14500's?).

Also, getting a Super Light (SL) version of the mini 2.1 would make the setup even lighter.

Lastly, you might want to consider getting a RM2 rebuildable atty. Maybe rebuilding is just not in the cards for you, but it's really quite easy and takes the vape quality beyond the premade dripping atties (even the hh, which is a good one).

Unless you have teeeny tiny hands, you may want to go for the grand.
While the mini would probably double your vape-time, a grand would double it again - and it's just a LITTLE bigger...

I mean, I like my gear pretty small, but I picked a grand and I'm glad. I remember people's comments that they were surprised at how compact the Grand was, and that there wasn't that much difference between them. You also want to consider the difference in LIQUID capacity - the mini holds half the liquid...that might be the difference determining whether it's an all-day device.

If you already feel a mini has shortcomings I wouldn't replace it with... another mini. The H x W factor is identical, but the 2.1 mini is thicker to accommodate the larger diameter 18xxx batteries. You will get more run time, but it won't be like tripling the run time either. Also, you will be moving from a 3 ml bottle to... a 3 ml bottle so you gain no advantage there with a 2.1 mini either. Since you said you are vaping pretty heavy now you may really want to move to the less frequent filling with a 6 ml bottle in a Grand.

Based on what you are going to use I would get any standard profile Grand of your choice with the deeper catch cup. It helps to have that with stock attys or cartos, and it's not exactly a limitation either since there are three(?) rebuildable attys that will fit that catch cup should you decide to try that in the future.

There is a big gallery of photos in the forum, I think the link is in the Reo Forum Links sticky, if you want to see more side by side shots. Another way to look at it: grab a ruler and make your 14500 mini 15 mm longer - that would be a close approximation for the size increase to a Grand. A Grand isn't as huge-er as you may be thinking.

if you are running the hh.357 1.5 ohm coils, the mini should give a decent run on battery life, not all day, you'd need to carry a spare. but the grand would likely be a once a day change when you fill your bottle

Seriously, i LOVE my grand. Its all i use and fits,comfortably in my pocket. Im a fairly small guy with small hands (150 lbs 5ft 9)

I started with a Mini 2.1 18490, but was really surprised with my first LP Grand that it was not that much bigger. A bit heavier, but the trades offs are all pluses for me... I'm a very long lung hitter and vape all day and most of all night. I spend way more time refilling joose than changing batts. You can also increase the joose supply in a Grand from 6ml to 9ml with a simple bottle mod if that is an issue (or from 3ml to 6ml in a Mini). But it's also not that hard to take extra joose along - takes less than a minute to refill. Many folks can get by all day to and from work with a Grands 18650 batt. Need two, carry an extra.

i have a lot of build gear, even the ebaron, sophia, magma, igo's i just don't like building right now.
but i do have a three year old up my .... all day every day and two older teens, my 19 year old likes to "use" my things.

anyway, the hh.357 isn't as appealing to the youngens, and it's working flawlessly for me. I also have been using carto's with good success, which of coarse, the REO can be used for that as well.

so the REO is like a no brainer lol.

P.S. The only time I never hated a carto was when I put one on a Reo.

Just so ya know - you can squonk that eBaron, too!
I bought a Cyclone for my Reo, before I even got my Reo. But then when the Reo arrived, I found it was missing a post screw, and I wasn't going to be able to use it for a day or two. But I HAD to TRY my new Reo with something!!!

It's not a setup I use now - but it does work...
(that's an LP Reo, and a Dripper Pro. I think a regular eBaron fits a non-LP Reo?)

If your vaping heavy, you might consider the reo grand. Bigger battery, longer battery life between charges, and a 6ml juice bottle compared to the 3ml bottle in the mini's. If you don't ever plan to rebuild or use a large (bigger than 14mm diameter) atomizer you could just order the standard reo grand. If you think your vape style might change over time and want a more flexible platform you may consider the LP grand.

I love my Reo Grand, haven't used anything else since I bought it. I've put away all my 'Vari's. You'll love it! It's simple, I just grab it 2 charged batteries, bottle of juice and I'm gone! Nothing vapes like my Reo. After I get out of nursing school I'll be looking into another one!
