I've had a Reo Grand for about 4 or 5 months now. It's great. I bought 3 aw IMR 18650's 1600 mah when I got it. I find I change batteries often (twice a day) or about every 2+ ml. I just don't find it to satisfy if I leave the battery any longer. I'm not sure if the batteries are getting tired or I'm getting picky but they used to last longer. I see rtdvaper has the same batteries now available in a 2000 mah style for $1.50 more.
So my options are as I see them:
A: buy some more batteries of the 2000 mah style
B: Try high voltage and buy some stackable batteries
C: Buy a kick and some 18500's

I must say I'm tempted to try the kick, The Batts nhaler sells are still 1600 mah and I think maybe I can find my sweet spot to last longer. I use all lr atomizers so far. I've tried 901's 510's and 306's To be honest I still don't know which atty I like the best. I still haven't tried 801's yet. I do find a fresh battery is just a tad hot but after a few puffs it's in my sweet spot. Then not to long later it's getting cold and I'm throwing a fresh battery in.

I know I really should invest in a volt meter so I could better understand whats happening.

All in all I love my Reo but I seem to be still ever persuing the perfect Vape :)

Any advice is appreciated!

I think I'd go with the Kick - and I think you are correct in thinking you'll be able to keep things running in your sweet spot longer with a regulator.

You said you are using LR, but you didn't mention what ohms. A slight adjustment in your ohms might be enough to improve your experience without other changes. I made just a slight adjustment from 2.0 ohms to 1.8 ohms and I've found that I swap batts a little less often.

Hehe it's cause I'm cheap :) none of the attys I've purchased have anything on them, the packaging or the website as to what ohms they are other than saying lr. Yet another reason I should buy a meter. I know your right but I just can't seem to bring my self to pay $8+/- for an atty when I can buy 5 packs for 15-20. Then again maybe a brand name atty might last way longer I dunno :).

Well, a cheap digital multimeter is about 6 USD from harbor freight and is 'good enough' to check the ohms of your attys and cartos. If you find they meter in the 2.1 to 2.4 ohm range (and I suspect they might), then you'll know that you might have a little luck with something a bit lower. 6-8 USD again will get you a quality atty in whatever you decide might be a bit lower ohms that you currently have.

If it works, then you didn't end up needing to spend 45 USD on a Kick and another 16-20 USD on a pair of 18500 batts. if it doesn't work, you own a multimeter you'll use occasionally and an atty that will certainly perform better if not last longer than the attys you use now... and you'll still need to spend money on a Kick and some batts. Worst case scenario, you end up owning a multimeter and using a good atty.

I can't argue with you Six, a multimeter is definately on my todo list. I appreciate your responses

You can also use the multimeter to check the voltage of your battery. I'm not an expert by no means concerning batts but, they should charge to about 4.2V. Seems like your a chain vaper and others that I have seen change out their batts quit a bit. When it gets to 3.8V on your batt then you only have 40% of power left. That might explain a lack in performance.

Also, it might help to post your thread here as well:

I've been thinking about a Kick, too, but they seem to be hard to come by. I haven't been crazy about the performance of my latest batch of AW 18650's (both 1600 and 2000 mAh) - I seem to have to swap them out after a couple ml of juice. I just ordered some of these Panasonic batteries the other day - there are a couple other threads about them on the forum. Looking forward to seeing if they perform as well as specs indicate:

Panasonic 18650 Li-Mn-Li-ion CGR18650CH High Drain 10A Rechargeable Hybrid IMR Battery Cell
another option, cheaper but no free shipping:
Panasonic CGR18650CH 2250mAh Li-ion Battery [Panasonic CGR18650CH] - $8.76 : Led Flashlight-International Outdoor Store

Hmm thats interesting, I like that they're still an IMR Battery. Let me know how they perform for you after a few weeks of use.
