I'd go with the Reo personally. I have both (the VV reo) and my Reo has more uses overall. It can still take cartos and feed them as well as a tank can (if not better) and after bottom feeding with a Reo I would never drip onto an atomizer again. Provari are nice for a tank or with a huge bottom feeding accessory on top, but overall I believe the Reo can do more and better at that. If you can snag a VV Reo then I would say theres no comparison. All you'll need is a voltmeter and you basically have a Provari that can't read ohms but can bottom feed. If you get a standard Reo then that just means you have to buy a specific ohm rating of atomizers which is fine, they are out there.

You say you've tried your brother's REO Grand, so I'd suggest asking him why he likes his REO and what the differences are. You mention that you like how the Provari looks....as they are two entirely different form factors, that might be your answer right there. They are certainly two different mods as you can tell just by looking at them. They have different functions (top feed/bottom feed) and different advantages/disadvantages. Good luck with your decision.

Do you know how the tank works? Did you know you must buy cartomizers and punch holes in them for the juice to transfer from the tank? Are you aware of what must be done to change juice if you tire of the one in your tank?

I have seen the Provari and they are very nice looking PV's. Tanks can be purchased from many vendor.

Now the REO Grand. You have a bottle that holds the juice. To switch juice you take the bottle off and put another filled in. You can blow the juice from the tube and atty. You are then ready for a new juice. If you want you can drip a different juice on the atty to test it.

You can use cartomizers or atty's on your REO.

REO's are durable and hassle free. They sit upright very well. A extra battery and a atty or cartomizer is all you need to take when you are out, just in case.

A big decision yes, but you just can't lose with a REO!

REO all the way...nothing like virgin juice squonked directly into/onto an atomizer..and like Nerak says, you can feed cartomizers too. Tanks are OK, but the limiting factor of the cartomizer inside is where bottom feeding really shines. Sometimes it's tricky to get the juice flowing consistently into the carto in a tank, and some juices tend to clog your cartos quickly, necessitating punching, filling, and putting in a new one at which time you're hoping the flow starts correctly...besides, if you want to use a tank, you can always put a 510 to 510 extender on your REO and tank away.

I have nothing bad to say about the provari, for sure. I've gotten to use both the regular v2 with extension and the mini v2. they are very well built, they look nice, and they have a lot of good features.

I was a constant tube mod user until about a year ago. At one point, I owned somewhere between 25 and 30 tube mods. I used an assortment of attys, cartos, CE2 tanks, and carto tanks on them. Even though I generally enjoyed the vape, I always felt like CE2 tanks and carto tanks were a hassle. Punching cartos or modding E2s for tanks gets old. Filling and carrying cartos gets old. Carrying bottles of juice for dripping gets old. At the time, it was about the best I could do... or so I thought.

I'd read a lot about bottom feeders. As you can tell looking at this forum sub-section, there are lots and lots of satisfied REO users. I was intrigued by the idea of having an on board juice supply and an easy feed method. But, I was heavily invested in tube mods, tanks, cartos etc. So, I left the REO on my "want to try some day" list for quite a long time. -- I ended up buying a plastic bottom feeder for $25. - I was surprised. It worked really well. I used it more and more often and really enjoyed not having to carry much by way of supplies and not having to fill tanks or punch cartos etc etc etc. I used that little plastic feeder literally to death. -- The whole time I was using it, I knew I'd end up breaking it eventually and I kept hemming and hawing over the REOs I'd see in the classifieds and I'd check to see what colors were in or out of stock on REOs site.

Well, as expected, my plastic feeder died. I found a black and silver mini on REOs site that day and bought it. In the first month, my REO Mini had almost completely taken over as my primary vaping device. A lot of really nice tube mods in my collection just weren't getting used any more.... then I bought another feeder. Having two high quality feeders was a real pleasure and I just stopped using tanks entirely... Then the REO VV Woodville came out and I ended up owning three high quality feeders. I still drip my triple-v sometimes and I occasionally carry one of my rough stacks... but I am completely convinced I'll never buy another tube mod. Feeders perform just as well and are way easier in that you don't have to carry vaping supplies everywhere you go or have to fill tanks or punch cartos or modify E2s or fill cartos or carry bottles of juice (etc etc etc).

The first three things I look at for a new PV are 1) High quality atty connector (can't even tell you how many times a cheap connector has let me down) -- 2) Durable construction. -- and 3) Feeder. REO has mastered these three items. REOs have one of the two best atty connectors I've ever seen - they are more than noteworthy for the quality of the construction - and they have the best/easiest to use bottom feed system of any bottom fed PVs.

Thanks for all the info...
My brother had gotten a reo because of a referral. He referred it to me but he has no other mod experience. I tried it and liked it. I was also referred to get the provari mini with a tank. I was told they are both built like a tank and both are awesome. Provari has more bells n whistles but that's just more that can break. I think in real world uses id go with the reo 18490 based on size n function.

All comments welcome! Thanks again

Quite some time ago, I was getting fed up with all the fiddling that vaping required. Dripping, carto-topping off, leaky tanks, etc. So then, pretty much as a last resort, I succumbed to all the REO "hype" and bought myself a mini. It was Nirvana. But I found 3ml of juice and 4 hour battery life just wasn't enough. So I bought the grand that I should have bought to begin with. Best vaping decision I ever made *nods sagely*

At the time I told myself it was the last purchase I'd ever make. That was 14 months ago, and last night, I found that I had been mistaken about it being my "last" purchase. (wait for it :) ) After 14 months my AW IMR 18650's were starting to go slowly downhill (read that, I had to change the battery more than once a day)

So I needed 5 new ones. But what's this? 2000mah AW IMR's? Yes!!! So, I was wrong. The "perfect" setup (for me), i.e., REO Grand, 1.8 Ω atty, and AW IMR 18650 1600mah batteries (5 in rotation), had been improved! They make the batteries better :) :) :)

A very long winded way of saying if you want SIMPLE, RELIABLE, fiddle-free vaping, go REO. And honestly, if by some chance, you decide it *isn't* for you, you can always resell it in the classies for pretty much what you paid for it. That fact alone says more about the quality of the device than anything I could put in here.

thanks guys,,, i feel if i was a full time smoker the grand would be what i would get since it has enough batt n juice to make it through a full vaping day, or just get the mini and carry around extra batts n juice.
I went down the middle of the road and ordered the mini 2.0
since i dont smoke that often i think a full vaping day would never kill what the 18490 has to offer me as far as batt and juice size. to be honest if i like it alot ill probably get all of them:)
so far im only enjoying my brothers when i see him. ill post a pic as soon as i can!
