I was an adopter of Blu Cigs and like others, was excited for only about a week. They're still doing good, but I am ready for a better device. So I have a few questions:

1.
I am looking to get this starter kit: AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | Joye eGo Starter Kit, A Joye eGo. So the first question is, is there a different site anyone recommends for this one?

2.
I am not familiar with the 3 piece setups yet, but what is the reason for the kit coming with 2 atomizers? I understand two batteries, so you have one working while the other charges, but why two atomizers? Do they have a short life span and need cleaning/maintenance or something?

3. A loose question but likely with an obvious answer is that these are self-fill cartridges if I am reading the terminology correctly, right?

4: What are the purpose of the "battery cones" and do I need more (I know the second part of that answer will likely be determined by the answer to the beginning part of this question). It appears to be just a decorative cover for the joint between the battery and atomizer.

5. What is the drip tip and why do I need it. The reason for this and the 4th question is because these are items that do not come with the kit, so was wondering if there is a need for them, or if not a "need" then what the advantage is to having them? OK, I see this is a refillable cartridge that doesn't require you to remove it from the atomizer...

Sorry for a lot of newbie questions, but I really want to find something that performs better than the Blu pack I bought for nearly $100 and do not want to make the same mistake (buying the wrong kit/pieces). Thanks in advance!

Ok I will give this a shot

1......Looks like a good kit to me but a carto kit is the way to go.

2...... So you can have 2 different juices and of cource back ups to your back ups.

3....... It looks like you figured this one out yourself

4........ Yep it just covers up the threads makes it look pretty

5......... Yes you want drip tips they help you from sucking juice into your mouth and sucking on the metal carto without one would be unplesent

Good luck!

So there are some good quality carto setups it seems. Same site had this one: http://altsmoke.com/starterkit/ego-...er-kit/ego-mega-dual-coil-cartomizer-kit.html.

Is it a false assumption that carto devices sacrifice performance? If not, then I'll stop avoid those in my searches. FOr a heavy smoker, what size cartos, when size is an option, should I go for? Again, I know some of this is dependent on battery as well.

Two ego twist batteries, one 420 mah battery charger with wall plug, two rebuildable vision ce5 v3 clearomizers. Inexpensive and what you're looking for. Everyone has had an ego battery at one time or another. You can find these items at a lot of online vendors. Vendors tend to put their own brand names on their ego's but one ego battery is the same as the next really. So don't get confused and assume there is a massive variety.Although there are a few other types of hardware.

Actually there are differences in the ego batteries, the old ones where regulated at 3.3 volts, some of the newer ones now have it where you can change that to the 3.7. Most of the ego knock offs are 3.7. I would suggest staying away from dual coil with an ego, they can put undo stress on the battery.

I would however suggest checking other sites, AltSmoke is good, but the price on the kits you showed seems a bit high to me.

That's what I was thinking. I was really stoked to find out there is a local shop carrying a wide range of options, and was surprised to find out how many people at my office use this shop. There is, however, 2500+ people at my building, so it's not like I know everyone.

I definitely plan to try some flavors out. Is it safe to assume that ALL flavors will likely have nicotine in them unless specifically advertised as a nicotine-free flavor? I assume so as when you select flavors from their site, it asks you the strength you'd like, and figured it was referring to nicotine.

Woohoo, got my kGO. To make sure my vocab is correct, this would be considered a tankomizer, or clearomizer? Or are those the same? Either way, going to a local shop was immensely helpful. They do not sell kits to anyone within 30 minutes of closing time because they actually take the time and make sure you understand everything about the kit, and of course some time to sit at the lounge and sample some flavors. I tried a bunch, and walked out with two 10ml bottles or mint menthol and watermelon.

The picture makes it hard to tell, but there is a black tip I simply unscrew and can fill the tank easily with no needle tip bottles etc. It is the CE5 tank... Came with two tanks, two long wick atteys, two 1100mAh manual batteries, two tips, case, USB chord and wall charger. Edit: I meant to ask what kind of thread this is... sure I can look that up easily though...
