I'm so so sorry for creating yet another thread. Hopefully, after I get in the hang of this, I won't be so bothersome. I'm shooting for a nice menthol tobacco juice, and came up with a simple mix that has the potential to become my everyday vape if I can get it right on. I like the flavor and the slight undertone of tobacco. It has a very strong kick to it, almost too strong.

Makes 30 ml - 24mg

Nicotine PG/VG 60 mg - 12 ml (40%)
VG dilutant - 9 ml (30%)
Distilled Water - 3 ml (10%)
Type N Menthol Tobacco (from RTS Vapes) - 4.5 ml (15%)
Ethyl Malto - 1.5 ml (5%)

This is soooo close to my goal. The only thing is that the menthol is extremely strong. Having made up 30 ml of the mixture, I don't want to waste it. The menthol actually clears my sinuses and has brought tears to my eyes at one point. In saying that, I'd like for the menthol tobacco flavoring to be brought down to maybe 5 - 10%. I'd probably do better starting with 10% and working my way down from there.

How could I fix the above mixture to bring the menthol tobacco flavoring down to 10%? Sorry, math in this form just isn't my strong suit. Also, does anyone have any tips on how to improve the above mixture?

Thanks again.

Edit: Oops, that was for my 5 ml test run. I mixed 30 ml after. Sorry about that. I'll change the values.

I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. It's listed under Concentrated Food Flavorings > Chinese Tobacco Blends on this page: 30 ml Type "N" Menthol Tobacco

Sounds interesting. I ordered a Hangsen menthol to mess around with, just wating for it to come in. Let us know how that mix works out Glass. Good luck with it.

Make another batch identical but without the menthol. Dilute the original batch with the non menthol one, noting how much you add and you will both fix your current batch, and know what the right amount of menthol for subsequent batches should be. Take any remaining non menthol you have left, measure it's volume and add the appropriate amount of menthol to test your ratio.

In this way all of your other ingredient ratios will remain the same and only the menthol will be diluted down.

I had to trash the previous mixture because of a completely idiotic mistake on my part that I'm rather ashamed to admit. However, I think I - finally - have a near perfect recipe, well fitting for me - one I can seem to smoke everyday without it making me sick at my stomach after a while like my last batch did.

As it turns out, 24 mg nicotine is waaaaay too much for me. I thought I'd need a higher dose because I was a two pack per day smoker. That isn't the case at all. I've lowered it from 24 mg to 12 mg and no more headaches. With this dose, I can also lower the amount of PG in my recipe as well (the nicotine I bought is in 100% PG. I didn't know better at the time, and bought too much not to use it). I also lowered the flavor drastically. I went from 15% to 2%. Heck, 1% would probably work just as well. It seems the flavor is a very strong concentrate. I thought it was mized with PG like the very first flavor I tried.

This is now the recipe, still extremely simple. But, it works for me! I'm sure it could use improvement, heh.

Nicotine 60 mg in 100% PG - 1 ml - 20%
VG dilutant - 3.15 ml - 63%
Dilluted water - 0.5 ml - 10%
Type N Menthol Tobacco from RTS Vapes - 0.1 ml - 2%
Ethyl Malto - 0.25 ml - 5% (I'm planning to lower this to 1 drop per 5 ml in the next batch)

If I can find a recommended tobacco flavor from a nice vendor, I may try other flavors or recipes. This is just the first one that I consider vapable (able to vape for more than 5 minutes without it turning my stomach). Most of the mixes I've tried taste ok for the first couple hits, then splat.

Edit: I also found a thread about quickening the steeping process with an ultrasonic cleaner. One was recommended in the thread and I found it on Amazon. It just arrived today, so I plan to try that soon as well.
