Help me get it right this time

Hello. I'm new to vaping and started with a Green Smoke set, but after lurking these forums and considering my needs I see it was a bad choice. It got the job done but I can see it would be expensive to maintain, and I don't want something that I need to activate by sucking when there is this new high-tech innovation called "a button" available. I want a good throat hit, is that all about the liquid or does the vaporizer temperature have a big effect?

I've been pointed at a few models already, but due to a semi-low budget for now and lack a EU retailers for some of them I am now eyeballing the joyetech eGo-C. I like the fact that every part is changeable, and having a separate tank and atomizer seems more sensible than messing with cartomizers. I just wanted to run it by the collective knowledge of professional vapers first. Is this a model I won't have to regret?

Hi coldnorth, Liquid strength, flavor and vapor temperature all play a part in TH. As for the eGo, it's a great kit. You really can't go wrong. I would suggest 1 box of Boge 2.0ohm cartomizers as well, (to see what you like) the eGo tanks aren't fantastic and can be a PITA.

Ok, eGo it is. They don't have the Boges or any DIY liquid components so I'll look around for another vendor, I really want to experiment with making my own liquids. Thanks a lot for the info and tips! =)

I don't have any experience with the Ego tanks but the boge 2.0 and smoktek 1.7 cartos work great with this battery.

...the tanks system for eGo T/C/W s look real good on paper, in implementation there are problems with leakage, muted taste/vapor...they can be made to work with some constant fiddling. This why so many start with these and then move on to cartomizers...just about as fiddle free vaping as you can get.......

I concur, I started with the ego-t, now I just use the batteries and the 1.7's from C.C.V. thanks to the advice and posts read on here. Aside from filling the carto's that is the only hassle oh and making sure you have enough battery to vap your head off right now I am rocking a 3.7v 1100mah with the 1.7 rr (C.C.V.) and drip tip, the tanks proved to be to much work, muted taste, vapor production was low and constant wic problems. The cartos with a good battery(s) is the way to go.

My first "real" e-cig was the eGo-T...for what it is (flexible) it does very well. But I found myself wanting a better "hit" I have since moved on to box mods, variable voltage, 5volts, and more. Throat hit is a culmination of numerous factors, juice, voltage, etc., I would recommend a variable voltage mod, there are plenty that are available at reasonable prices (under 50.00), couple that with a tank, and you will love it.

I also found the tank on the eGo-T to be wanting. It doesn't hold much to begin with, and will begin leaking after a couple fills.

I have had the ego kit and the kgo kit,do yourself a favor and get the kgo kit it's better.

The best thing about the Ego is the battery life imo .. The batts used in conjunction with a carto of your choice will yield better results as far as vapor production, and flavor.

When I first started vaping I fed into to all the Ego hype and was frankly disappointed... don't get me wrong the Ego is quality product, its just not the "super vaping machine" that it was once hyped up to be. My old 510 Mega produced much better vapor and flavor, than either my Standard Ego 650 mah kit, or my Ego T (LR) 1100mah kit ever did ... as does my basic KR808D-1.
