You can try lowering the voltage on the Provari. I've found that some juices burn harsher than others. I would suggest trying different juices and different pg/vg mixes at different voltages. I got into vaping hoping that my wife would quit and it was an effortless transition once she found a flavor she liked.

Also, I've found a carto tank to be mellower. Keeping straight cartos primed takes a lot of tweaking for me and I get the odd harsh hit occasionally. I've had great results with the carto tank setup. I wish you the best of luck.

Well, to do that, I've have to buy her a Provari first. :) I have a Buzz Pro and a Madvapes VV box that would do pretty much the same thing. With her, it's best to keep things simple though.

So far, she's doing fine on 3.0 ohm Boge Cartos on a maxi roughstack V2. I actually have a couple homemade syringe tanks around but, I wanted to make sure the nic level was working for her before filling something like that up for her. I had a really hard time with that when I started. The only problem she's had was one day I came home and she told me it was vaping too hot. I gave it a try and it was really dry. I asked her when she filled it last and she hadn't. I filled it and it worked fine after that. Not sure how she managed to do that without burning it up.

She tried some of my 12mg (I started her on 18) and said it was like drinking decaf. :) I think her experience using the gum has helped her with the adjustment a lot. She knows what it feels like when she's had enough and she stops before she gets too much seemingly without effort.

Oops my bad I thought you said you had one. I guess it was someone else.

Keeping those syringe tanks around for her to use might be the most convenient for her. I don't think the difference between 12mg and 18mg is going to make much difference until she starts vaping regularly. There's not a much bigger turnoff than taking a dry burnt hit off a carto or atty for a noob.

That would be me.

Think I have found the problem.

Please don't laugh. I struggle not to.

She cannot draw the vapor into her mouth then inhale. She just inhales as per a cig. Then starts coughing.

Have tried to explain. She says she understands but does it anyway.

Tell her to prepare to blow a fat smoke ring. Then instead of blowing a ring, inhale! :D

Since you asked, she went to the pulmonologist Friday. He approved of her vaping and said that wouldn't hurt her lungs. She goes back to him in a month. Her lungs are clearing but, it's looking like the lung problem was actually caused by a digestive problem which is why it was so hard to get to clear. She's had diverticulitus for a while. There may be something going on there. She keeps running a low grade fever and her white blood cell count is off which indicates some kind of infection. It's looking like it's not in her lungs at this point. Now they just have to figure out where it is.

My husband still hasn't decided to switch, and I have let him go. They have to decided on their own. I recently took him to visit a friend who's husband refused to switch just 9 months ago, but she did, he was diagnosed with lung cancer, and had half a lung removed, which was very painful. He can't walk to the bathroom without getting short of breath. He got to see and hear what could happen to him, first hand, and sometimes, that is what it takes. He has already asked me about my spare e-cig, and how I use mine. Now this is actually a good story, because the friend's husband does not need chemo, they must have gotten it all with the surgery. I hope he decides to quit and try the e-cig as a substitute if he just can't stop the habit, but that is in his own hands. You cannot change anyone, only yourself, and the quicker you learn that the better for everyone. Love cannot change all, our minds are stronger than anything in this world. While I love him more than life itself, I cannot make decisions for him. I will always be ready in the shadows, waiting for him to try, but until the decision is made, I can't push my lifestyle choice onto him. Good luck to you and your wife!

I probably should mention that she started complaining about a sore throat caused by the PV. I switched her back to 100% VG and that fixed it. I had to buy some more nic though. I used up all the VG nic I had.

Now if I could just convince her that after a year I'd know if I had a problem with PG. She keeps bugging me to quit using it in my juice and I have over a liter of 100 mg PG nic. :)
