I have had more trouble with this mod then anything else that comes to mind... my wetbox is 5v.. i favor atomizers much more then cartos.. my problem is that this mod has burnt out 8 atomizers.. 6 of them were joye.. 2 of the joye attys lasted me around 3 days before they burnt.. after that every single atty i put on it died in a matter of hours. i have tried 3 different brands.. the only one that gave me any improvement was boge which lasted me around 5 days before burning out.. i have some joye HV attys however these dont produce nearly enough vapor for the amount of drawing i have to do on them.. im at the end of my rope here becuase i have dropped way.. let me restate WAY! too much money into this thing.. when it works its AMAZING but i spend more time ordering new atomizers then i do vaping..
bringing me around to what i need help with. i would like to put a variable voltage regulator into my wetbox.. it is powered by two 3.7v 14500 batteries so theoretically it should be capable of running at over 7v. the regulator sits just under one of the batteries. but im not too sure about how to go about doing this.. i feel like it would be easy as getting the VV reg and soldering it in, but i also feel like i would do this and it would never work again.
any suggestions/advice would be awesome.. i will post some pictures of the inside of the box under:

PS: where could i find a VV reg? someone had told me they would be on texas instruments however i cant seem to find them on the website.

Well it certainly isn't anything I would attempt, and it certainly would be far from 'easy'. It would take some careful work to remove/desolder and then try to fit another reg and pot/trimmer in there. Are you an expert at soldering?

What I would try is simply adding a diode, inline with the power out lead (looks like the gray wire) and see how that suits you. With a standard Joye atty that should put you at about ~8 watts which many folks seem to like, as will your atty.

Damn...I wish I understood circuitry a LOT better. How do you and Java and a few others know that stuff?
