Hi, just ordered a Silver Bullet earlier today and now I just need 18650 batteries.

I actually ordered:

"AW 18650 Protected 2900 mAh Rechargeable Lithium Battery"

because I read the mAh is what makes it last a long time.. at 2900 was the highest.

but then I read something else where some other type of 18650 battery would give a more consistent voltage at 3.7v... and the ones I ordered will drain and not be consistent? or something of that sort

Welcome to Lighthound, Inc. - Cree LED Flashlights, Lithium Batteries, Lithium Ion Batteries, Li-Ion Chargers, LED Flashlights, Leatherman Multitools, Spyderco Knives and more!
^ from that link.. can someone point out to me which one I should get for the "consistent" voltage? even if it will sacrifice battery life..

hopefully someone can help me tonite before they process my order! thanks

EDIT: ideally i rather just have a battery that has a consistent voltage vape.. if there's better ones from another website, please link me. but i prefer the ones from Lighthound because I just ordered from there and I still have time to change my order

You really can't go wrong with the AW batteries. I also use the flamed Trustfires.

At that battery size (18650) they don;t really flatten out much until the end.

thx cozzicon, i'll stick with my order then. was jus reading stuff bout how i should get a different type of battery cuz i like 306's or something and just getting confused as crap lol

Well- if you can vape a fully charged 2400mah battery dry in a day- your either worthy of worship or attending a vape fest :)

hahaha not there yet unfortunatly ;p

i meant it more as i think what i read is that the voltage wouldn't be consistent for LR atties or something so i started panicking =P

thx for the reassurance.. but darn i'm seeing posts like these

that's making me wonder if i should jus go with the IMR

aghhhhhhhhhh

Well, the IMR's will offer a more consistent voltage no doubt. They're especially nice for HV vaping; I have two for my Provari. I also have regular 18650's for other devices that I use 2.5-3ohm atty's at 3.7v. Another thing to note is the IMR's are not protected but have a safer chemistry.

In the end, it's what you're happy with that matters. I have and use both the AW 18650's you mentioned. I also use them in a Precise P-18 as my primary, which is similar in that it's a mechanical mod, rated at an unregulated 3.7 volts nominal.

For the first week, I was doing the alternating bit and keeping my multimeter busy. In the end, I am happy with both. Unless you have sensitive buds, I don't really see a perceptable difference in the course of a day with either. As the veterans have said, unless we were talking about variable voltage or a regulated mod that offers a voltage different than the battery (like running a Provari at 4.5 volts on a 3.7 volt battery - which I have done), most wont notice the slight variance over the useful span of their respective duty cycle.

And to the pro's here I realize I am making generalizations painted with a broad brush but I can only share what my experiences have been. Since I have used both under the same/similar circumstances, I do find that relevent for the average user. Differences that range into the tenths or less voltage simply doesn't seem to effect the average user as to quality of their vape under normal conditions. :)
